Recent inability to view long filenames stored with scp via samba mount
Greetings Samba team, It has been a long time since I needed to ask a Samba technical question. Server and workstation are both running the latest Samba packages via Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I recently applied the security updates... actually that was yesterday I applied them. > samba (2:4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.23) xenial-security; urgency=medium > > * SECURITY UPDATE: client code can

Building rpm-s from binaries
Hi, We'd like to simplify deployment of new blades and I need to package some of proprietary libs we are using, and obviously I don't have sources for them. Can anybody point me into good direction how to make packages from binaries? I have basic knowledge about building rpms, but it seems to be source oriented. Astsee v0.1 released - an Asterisk channel monitor for linux/X windows
Hiya everyone. I have been working on a fun little app to watch what's going on in your asterisk box via its manager interface. There's a screenshot up and some info at http://sitkavoip.com/astsee/ -- Sorry it requires allegro, but I was more keen about getting the ideas down than worrying about the framework. Comments/questions welcome, but probably off-list is best unless they

allegro win32 directx apps
hi, Has anyone tried to get allegro win32 directx apps running under wine? I find that for the most part they seem to run, but some insist on using a non-existing bpp of 24 (should be 32), I've tried hacking the x11 driver and the direct draw hal code to match bpp 24 with 32 and the allegro app will run after that (if anyone is interested, attached is a patch for that). Now the allegro app

Pretec Allegro, can it really play Oggs?
I have bought a Pretec Allegro. Placing some of my mp3's and Oggs on the "iDisk-tiny" and plugging it into the Allegro allows me to play the mp3's, but _the Oggs don't work_! What am I missing? It is advertised on the website, on the box, in the manual... Anyone else tried an Allegro? Hugo

RECOVER FILE DAEMON SMBD SAMBA
Hello! Accidentally deletes the file daemon, / usr / lib / samba / classic / smbd. Now I can not start Samba, Samba reinstalling again in the newer version I would lose my settings? It will overwrite existing files or just bring back the excluded? I use a distribution derived from Suse, when I try to install the yast he asks that some libraries are installed: *libstdc + + **libstdc + +-devel

Asterisk 14 audio quality with remote files
Hello everyone, I am using the Asterisk REST API in order to establish a call to an endpoint and to send over a remote file (HTTP). The issue is that I am experiencing an audio quality issue. I have tried encoding the file differently, but everytime Asterisk is cutting the audio frequencies above 4Khz. The call is established with G.722 and the audio file is mono 16Khz 16 bit sln16 extension.

issue with L-BFGS-B in optim (optim just hangs)
Dear R-Help List, I am using optim, with method=L-BFGS-B, to maximize a likelihood inside a large simulation exercise. This runs fine for most simulated data sets, but for some reason, about 1 out of 100 times, optim will just hang. Using a dumb approach to the problem (i.e. printing the parameter values each time the function being maximized is evaluated), I tracked down when this happens,

"received packet with own address as source address"
Hello again, folks! I''m getting one strange problem with FC5 running on XEN 3.0.3 x64... The MRTG point to my machine with XEN running one absurd volume of output data sent (normal is around 6 MB/s) and when XEN is working we get 80 MB/s until my DRAC is alive... after this, the machine crash, DRAC stop do reply, swith stop do work together... Anyone knows whats happening now? ;)
