Tidal Time Series Analysis in R
I am looking at using R to analyze time series data containing a tidal
component. I need to remove the tidal signal to extract the time
series of the phenomena I seek to study. A browse of R-project search
engines has not been too fruitful? I've found 'hoa' and 'Rwave', but
need further help getting started. THANKS.

[PATCH 0/9] linux/syslinux: support ext2/3/4 device
Hello,
Happy New Year!
These patches make syslinux/linux support ext2/3/4, and it doesn't
require the root privilege, I'd like to add a separate e2fs/syslinux, if
that is more appropriate, it should be easy to do that.
I put these patches on github so that you can easily get them in case
you'd like to test them. (The repo's name is sys_tmp, which avoids
confusing others, I will

SIP Channel hangup problem with re-INVITE enabled - ugrent
Hi List
I have UAs registered with Asterisk and make outbound calls via ITSP1,
everything is fine without re-INVITE. When people call 178, the actual
number 112233445566 at ITSP1 network will be called.
When UA or called telephone (112233445566) hang up, the call and associated
channels are cleared.

EXT3: failed to claim external journal device.
We are having problems remounting an ext3 filesystem using an external
journal device. The filesystem in question was working fine until the
server was rebooted.
This is what we see on dmesg when trying to mount:
EXT3: failed to claim external journal device.
The external journal lives on a LVM2 logical volume and it seems to be
accessible ( we can dumpe2fs and see filesystem information).

Samba - smbfs - problème d'accent
Bonjour,
b?.txt.

Best way to handle include files?
Hi folks,
I am building a new box. Want it to look
pretty much like an older Asterisk 1.2,
Debian box that is in production. The new
box will used as a test box before we
implement changes to the production box.
New box:

mbox format
I wish to know some implementation details about mbox.
When you you mbox format in IMAP, are you doing to keep the same message
UID across IMAP session if you know that any other program can modify
the mailbox as it wants, for example, two messages can be exchanged.
In this case, will the UID kept the same ?
If they keep their UID, how do you identify the messages ?
Thanks,

Sweave and accents
Hello.
I want to write my notes in Sweave in my own language (spanish). But
my language has accents and when I run Sweave in R to translate my Snw
file into the tex file the accents are translated into unrecognizable
characters.
For example, the word "cami?n" (truck) is translated into "cami??n"
Somebody knows how can I do it?
One solution I don't like is using a

commands
hi
I have made ext3 from ext2 by using mkfs -j option.
I want to know if all commands of ext2 like dumpe2fs ( provided in e2fs-1.36
) works fine with ext3 ?
Do we have some commands that are unique for ext3 file system ?

EXT3 Journal Creation Problem
Hi Guys,
When I try to create an ext3 journal on a new fs, I receive the
following error. This is all under Kernel v2.4.17 and e2fs tools v1.25:
File size limit exceeded
Running e2fsck on it afterwords gives:
e2fsck -y /dev/sdc1
e2fsck 1.25 (20-Sep-2001)
Superblock has a bad ext3 journal (inode 8).
Clear? yes
*** ext3 journal has been deleted - filesystem is now ext2 only ***

Max tftp boot size?
Hi;
In http://syslinux.zytor.com/history.php, you mention:
PXELINUX, ISOLINUX: Correctly handle files larger than 65535
blocks (32 MB for PXELINUX, 128 MB for ISOLINUX.)
However, I am having issues with trying to make any compressed initrd.gz

--no-blksize specified to disable the blksize command. The

pb with 2.5.x and ramdisk?
Hello,
I have a problem with a 2.5.62 kernel and ramdisk. I am using isolinux
to create a cd that loads some of its partition in ramdisk. The script
involves mounting a ramdisk (e2fs) on /fake/ramdisk, copying part of the
cd to that mount point, unmounting it, and remounting it on
/fake/needwrite. The problem is that, although the content of
/fake/needwrite gets correctly copied, the content of
