rpcclient and samedit etc. on sun ultras were failing because getopt
cannot be reused. evidence of this is by doing a samedit "createuser
username -p password" and the reported password on-screen is total
garbage.
this was fixed by using the GNU getopt and getopt_long functions (hooray!)
in the same way that rsync does.

Network neighborhood problems
I have setup a small office of 6 win95/98 workstations and a Samba share
(SuSE, Samba 2.0.6) on a P90 with 32MB of RAM and 2, 2GB HD?s. File sharing
and PDC functions work perfectly (better than any NT machine). However, I
cannot get the samba computer to show up in network neighborhood. I set the
netbios name to SAMBA and wins = yes. When I go to start => run and type
<\\samba>, the

characters, that is it is doing a binary transfer. how do i control it to do
a ascii transfer.

Unsupported Printers - just "sticks" in the lpd queue ;(
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello:
I've configured a Linux box with Samba to act as a secondary domain
controller for an existing NT server. I've gotten everything working very
nicely, all my file shares set up, etc.
I've got 6 printers that I need to set up as print shares. The ones that
speak Postscript or PCL were very easy to set up, and work admirably.

Re: Windows Server 2008 - KVM
Hi there!
Although the guest has 2GB memory, the windows guest was adjusted to
support this.
I guess that the LVM is the best choice! I will save all images to other
disk and re-build the partition with LVM. Do you recomend to use ext4 or
zfs ?
- About the apparmor, I have my doubts, I will try to disable and see what
will happen!
- About the tablet input device, I removed! Some forums say that

Routed network can't reach outside network
Greetings folks.
I've setup libvirtd on my manjaro linux laptop.
Got a couple of VM's running (Win10 and Debian10) through NAT without any
issues.
This is what the current network diagram looks like and it works fine:

Re: Windows Server 2008 - KVM
Hi there!
I have installed a new VM with Win2k8 and the serial virtio driver works
fine. I don´t know why the other VM the BSOD happen!
About the performance, I had the impression that only one core is
used.....PID 8301 is a linux VM with 4 VCPU and 2 GB of RAM...

Hi there!
I will do soon the disk config, but first I will do some labs.
I´m trying to install the virtio driver to comunicate using qemu-agent but
when the driver is installed, the BSOD happens (win2k8 R2).
I tried with virtio-drivers version 100, 110 and 117, both happens BSOD.
Do you has a tip ? :)

Re: Windows Server 2008 - KVM
Hi Dominique,
You’ll have to convert the qcow to raw, create a LVM-volume (don’t create a
file system on the volume), and dd the raw tot he LVM volume…
Convert the qcow to raw, Ok
Create a LVM-Volume, OK
Don´t create a file system on the volume ?? Is not clear why...
DD the raw to the LVM? How ? I don´t understand this point....
Thanks a lot!

Using VT-D to grant a Windows DomU access to a PCI Express graphics card?
I''ve also been trying to get hardware-accelerate Direct3D to work in a
(Windows) DomU via VT-D. I''ve got a PCI NIC passing through fine, but
not a graphics carrd. The points below describe where I''m at and what
is happening. I''d appreciate any help anyone could offer, and also I
have these specific questions:
Is PCI Express supported by VT-D and/or

Hi Daniel,
First of all, awfully sorry for replying so late. Unfortunately your reply
had gone to the Spam drawer...
Also, I'm answering from Gmail's webmail which IIRC only allows for 'quote

SEM Model Not Converging
I'm trying to build a SEM using the sem package. I'll attach my model
specification below.
When I turn debug=TRUE, it seems as if I'm getting to convergence
because I get this message:
Successive iterates within tolerance.
Current iterate is probably solution.
However, at the end of the process I get this message:
Warning message:
