SAMBA 2.0.6 vs HP's ASU/9000 LanMan (battle rages on)
Found the solution to my 2.0.6 dying on me on SGI - SYSV_IPC needed to be #undef'ed in source/include/includes.h in favor of MMAP, seems to have fixed it. If I run the daemon in server mode, no prob. If I switch to domain mode (and use smbpasswd to join into the domain, per the instructions), I get the error indicating that the username/password pair was incorrect, as if I typed in a wrong

Getting SAMBA 2.0.0 (SGI's compile) and HP's AS/U LanMan playing nice
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The following is a level-10 debug log of the SAMBA machine attempting to join the CSUN2K domain administered by AS/U 9000 LANMAN daemon on HP9K1 (HP-UX 11.00) v B.04.03, NetBIOS v B.04.04 The procedure for doing this is two-fold. First, I went into the Server Manager and added the NetBIOS name of the SAMBA server to the CSUN2K SAM database. Second:

OpenSSH and HP-UX
My system: HP-UX 10.20, pretty vanilla, most non-HP software from the HP Porting Archive at hpux.cae.wisc.edu. GNU make is /usr/local/bin/gmake, zlib is in /opt/zlib, OpenSSl in /opt/openssl, HP ANSI C compiler. OpenSSH 2.2.1p4. 'configure' on this system warns that rsa is not available. I found source at www.spinnaker.com which builds an rsaref.a library but not an RSAglue one. So

Guest user when mapping drives
I have Samba 2.0.4b running on HP-UX 10.20. If I have an automatic drive mapping occur in NT or Win95 to one of my Samba shares, then the user is authenticated as the guest user. If I don't have an automatic drive mapped, then the user is authenticated as their actual username when navigating to the share in Explorer. The users all have Unix accounts and the authentication is occurring on an

[LLVMdev] Error while loading profile information
Hi all, I am trying to load a profile information (llvmprof.out) which has been separately created, to get the execution count of each basic block and use it to estimate the execution count of machine basic blocks for getting how many times any instruction gets executed, for ARM specifically. The error on running the code comes as: clang: PassManager.cpp:601: void

dnorm and qnorm
Hello all, I have a question about basic statistics. Given a PDF value of 0.328161, how can I find out the value of -0.625 in R? It is like reversing the dnorm function but I do not know how to do it in R. > pdf.xb <- dnorm(-0.625) > pdf.xb [1] 0.328161 > qnorm(pdf.xb) [1] -0.444997 > pnorm(pdf.xb) [1] 0.628605 Many thanks, Edwin -- View this message in context:

IMQ
Hello I have a server with a dsl connection on eth1 and local interface eth0. Because of the NAT i cannot direct traffic to IMQ device in PREROUTING chain but have to use INPUT and FORWARD. So i use rules. iptables -t mangle -A INPUT -i eth1 -j IMQ --todev 0 iptables -t mangle -A FORWARD -i eth1 -j IMQ --todev 0 And now the strange thing: FORWARD traffic gets directed nicely to the IMQ, but

Unable to start Empire: Total War
I've just installed Empire: Total War without any hiccups (It is validated and runs through Steam). However, When I try to launch the game it just hangs with a window saying "Launching Empire: Total war" for ages without any apparent progress. I would post the terminal output but I do not know how to for games that run through steam. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in

[LLVMdev] Subversion head: build problem on cygwin?
Not sure if this is me or not, because this is the first time I've built LLVM on Cygwin, but I can't get a working compile. I've configured with the following options: $ ./configure --with-llvmgccdir=/cygdrive/i/Projects/llvm-gcc4.2-2.2 --enable-debug-runtime --enable-jit --enable-targets=x86 Configure doesn't suggest there's anything wrong, but when I try make, I almost

Hi, Jules. On Tue, March 11, 2008 2:14 pm, Jules wrote: > Not sure if this is me or not, because this is the first time I've built > LLVM on Cygwin, but I can't get a working compile. Last I checked, LLVM-on-Cygwin has at least two problems, and you've hit one of them. Working around them isn't too bad, though patches to fix them would be appreciated. >

Portable R?
Hello list, A short time ago, I found http://johnhaller.com/jh/useful_stuff/portable_apps_suite/, which contains basically a complete set of office tools that can be run *entirely* from a USB key. The concept is: - find a Windows PC - put in your USB key - run OpenOffice, Firefox, Gaim, Nvu, Thunderbird, ... directly from your USB key, with no app installation required - save your files wherever

After testing the usage of .pls instead of .m3u, couldnt get it to work any ideas on a workaround?, m3u likes xmms but on winxp windows media likes m3u and battles winamp for ownership (typical windows). Is this (.m3u) an internal mime type for icecast2? <p><p><p>Dave St John

Reproducible Printer Properties PANIC in Samba 3.0.22-25 (CIFS/9000 A2.03.01)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Good day all, I am running CIFS/9000 (which is based on Samba 3.0.22 with, I'm guessing, security and serious bug fixes through 3.0.25 -- it's not all that clear), and running all of this on an HP-UX 11.11 PA-RISC server. The problem I have is when I do a right-click on a mapped printer and ask for the properties, my connected daemon

ssh-agent and rdist
Hi, I'm having a real difficulty here, and I'll keep this very short; ask for needed details. I've got two nearly identically configured RedHat 8 systems, call them A and B. I've generated keys with passphrases on both, added the public key for B to ~/.ssh/authorized_hosts on A and vice versa. On either machine, I can use ssh-agent with no problems. In particular, if I run
