Logon script
Hello,
I am having a little problem with executing logon scripts on Win95 clients,
logging into Samba Netlogon service.
When a user logges in, a MS-DOS prompt shows up and quicky disappears. Then
I get
"Please Wait While your logon script executes". It hangs at that point. A
user has to hit cancel to start his win95 session.
I have done the logon script in MS-DOS editor. I have the

PKR not working with Wine 1.0.1 and Eeebuntu
Even though the game PKR (from pkr.com) is supposed to work fine with Wine and Ubuntu 8.4, it's not working on my Eee PC 901 netbook.
The game starts fine, and I can log in, then view a list of current tables, but when I try to go to one of the tables the graphics go all corrupted.
Even at the table list screen, the mouse is out of allignment by about 50 pixels.
Is there a wine log

chat script under FreeBSD
Hello,
I am running FreeBSD 4.0 and Samba version 2.0.4b. I am trying
get my smbpasswd+samba password to synchronize. At this point
when I run smbpasswd <user> as root it will change the samba password
and update the UNIX password as well. Problem is, that a user running
smbpasswd at his shell prompt or using Passwords (from Control Panel)
will not change the smbpassword and not update the

I don't know if this is a bug of some sort, but I am running out of ideas.
O/S: FreeBSD 2.2.5-stable
Samba: Version 1.9.17p4
Clients: Win95 only
I am trying to get Samba to accpet Win95 clients logging on my FreeBSD

I will get:

Unreproduceable bug in Samba 2.0.6
Hello Samba Developers,
Recently I've caused an endless loop in Samba, which caused the log file
to fill up all usable disk space.
This is what I've done ( or better, what I think I've done, because the
bug is not reproduceable ) :
- Mounted my home directory via Windows Explorer under Windoze NT.
- Logged into account under same name on same machine ( bash )
- created a soft link

Race Condition cont'd
Thank you Paul for your response. Perhaps I can give a bit more info:
RS/6000 H50 w/AIX 4.3.2 running Samba 2.0.5a
PIII-450 NT4sp4 w/128MB
I indicated yesterday that a race condition appeared to be happening. I later
remembered that I turned on level2 oplocks on two read only shares as the last
tunings we did before this began to happen. I got the info from the Speed.txt
document in hopes of

slow streaming but fast copy
Hi List,
I have some very strange problems with samba on my shiny new server.
The first problem was that file transfers were very slow (copying a
file of 700Mb took 50 minutes over 100Mbit network). I checked other
protcols (ftp/http/scp) on the server and they were able to use the
100Mbit link for full. After a lot of debugging, I found that the
problem was related to oplocks. When disabling

Domain Logons
Hello,
I am new to Samba. I run FreeBSD 2.2.5-stable and Version 1.9.17p4.
I would like my FreeBSD server to act as a DOMAIN Logon. And, for example
if user riso logges in (using his FreeBSD box password) his /home/riso
should be
automatically maped to G: or something.
The error message I get is:
"You have entered an incorrect password, or access to your logon server has
been denied."

Hi all,
I analysed my data with lme and after that I spent a lot of time for
mean separation of treatments (post hoc). But still I couldn’t make
through it. This is my data set and R scripts I tried.

c(recursive=TRUE)
Hi R users,
I am currently using c(...,recursive=TRUE) to handle list-structured
objects.
This allows to represent something like:
> l1 = list(level1=1,level2=list(sub1=1,sub2=2))
as:
> (l1names = names(c(l1,recursive=TRUE)))
[1] "level1" "level2.sub1" "level2.sub2"
Then, one can use:
> (l1names = sapply(l1names,FUN=function(element)

Samba pdc with ldap & samba3-3.0.25c-34 on CentOS 5
Hi all,
I had been running a Samba pdc using the standard tdbsam backend on
CentOS 4.5 supporting 20+ WinXPsp2 workstations and a Win2k3 Terminal
Server. This set up was running fine for arroung 18 months maybe more.
The above system was built on ageing hardware that used to be a Win 2k
server that died from OS corruption.
Due to the expanding client needs there was good reason to replace

2.1.rc1 (056934abd2ef): virtual plugin mailbox search pattern
Hello Timo,
With dovecot 2.1.rc1 (056934abd2ef) there seems to be something wrong
with virtual plugin mailbox search patterns.
I'm using a virtual mailbox 'unread' with the following dovecot-virtual file
$ cat dovecot-virtual

unseen
For testing propose I created the following folders with each containing
one unread message
