xlab=expression(...) won't work.
Dear all, I found that the plotmath seems won't work on xlab in plot (and other plot functions including matplot, contour, ...): > plot(1:10, 1:10, xlab=expression(alpha)) the plot shows nothing for x-label. Windows 2000
Just curious, has anyone gotten Samba to work with Windows 2000? I've mucked with it a bit. But can't seem to make it go. I haven't tried applying the NT 4.0 Registry patches yet I will probably take a look at them and see if I can get them working with Win2000. Thanks! -- Steve "We confuse you, or your money back!"

dovecot proxy/director and high availability design
I'm trying to determine which dovecot components to use and how to order them in the network path from client to mail store. If I have say 1,000 users, all stored in MySQL (or LDAP) and have 4 mail stores, configured into 2, 2 node pods. MS1 and MS2 are pod1 and are configured with replication (dsync) and host users 0-500. MS3 and MS4 are pod2 and are configured with replication between

dovecot proxy/director and high availability design
Round-robin DNS last I checked can be fraught with issues. While doing something else I came up with this idea: Clients --> Load Balancer(HAProxy) --> Dovecot Proxy(DP) --> Dovecot Director(DD) --> MS1 / MS2. When DP checks say user100 it'll find a host=DD-POD1 that returns two IPs, those of the two DD that sit in front of POD1. This DD pair is the only pair in the ring and

dovecot proxy/director and high availability design
I?m trying to do this too. But the goal would be simply for automatic failover to the other datacenter. Everything is working if the server?s unique hostname is entered, but I want to do something like round robin DNS that mail clients will automatically attempt to connect to the other IP if they cannot get to the first address. Unfortunately mail applications don?t really do this like web

[LLVMdev] Can clang generate the same bitcode with the toolchains that have same version of libraries but different targets
Hi David, Thank you for your reply. In fact, my question originally came from the google native client. I thought that the bitcode can be shared among the different targets as it inherently is. Therefore, I used the clang to generate the bitcode to prove that my thought is right, and I supposed that the different bitcode caused from the different versions of libraries before. Thanks for the

dovecot proxy/director and high availability design
The consensus seems to say no to RR DNS ? I am going to take that into serious consideration. With this proxy setup you describe, what would happen if HAProxy or Dovecot Proxy were to fail? I think there is no problem with many moving parts, as long as there is a backup plan in case something goes awry. My goal is slightly different, as I want to have HA available across datacenters without

Application icons don't appear in taskbar at bottom of display - they disappear out of bottom right corner!
Running CentOS 4.4 and something drastic appears to have happened with my display setup - application icons no longer appear in taskbar at bottom of display (when minimized) but disappear off bottom right-hand corner. So it's difficult to multi-task because I have to keep re- opening applications - can anybody suggest what I need to reconfigure please because I can't find any obvious

Text of Status Bar always disappear
The first time I create the status bar by call @sb = create_status_bar @sb.set_status_text(''Welcome to use Code Line Statistics'') it works perfect. But when I click a tool bar button that trigger an event, and call @sb.set_status_text(''Finish'') if the mouse is on the button, the text of status bar is "Finish"; but once the mouse is out of the

Does status disappear after worker exits?
Hemant, From http://backgroundrb.rubyforge.org/ "Currently, when a worker is deleted/exits, its result/status is also gone (i.e. you can?t query the status of a worker which is not running). This behaviour is expected to change in future releases." Is this still true? I ask because I am checking for a status after a worker exits and the code seems to work. Thanks Rupert

Ampersand in Folder names causing folders to disappear?
Hi All, Dovecot 1.0.rc7 Not sure if this is a problem with Outlook, or with Dovecot, or to do with encoding in Linux. Whenever a user enters an ampersand into an IMAP folder name, it dissapears from outlook. These folders appear on the ext3 filesystem as &- for example drwx------ 5 mailusers mailusers 4096 2006-10-10 17:54 .INBOX.Networks.London Networks.NDCs.WH&-P joint working

Menus disappear under the mouse
Hi, Anyone offer a solution for this? As the mouse passes over the menus they close so that the menu item cannot be selected. This only happens under KDE, fluxbox and wmaker are fine. Installed on Knoppix-Debian. Many thanks, Dave Coventry _____________________________________________________________ Get email for your site ---> http://www.everyone.net

Files disappear / are hidden / not shown on a share
Hello everybody, Im running samba 3.0.6-Debian on Sarge with 2.4.26-1-386 Kernel. I've got the phenomenon that some files that are in the users' home shares sometimes cannot be seen in Win2k SP4. Always the same files disappear, but I can't make a rule out of it. When I compare attributes, dates, size etc. they don't seem to be much different from files that are always there.

Blocks of screen disappear - XnView
The program launches fine, can view thumbnails in thumbnail browser, when an image is opened then closed, the portion under it does not "refresh" and remains black. If the program is minimized and maximized, it looks fine. Wondering if it is a setting I can change.
