Windows 2000 RC2 problem in printing (Samba 2.0.6)
Dear sir: There was one problem which bothered me for a long time. I used the Red Hat 5.2 with kernel 2.0.36 (gcc 2.7.2.3) and samba-2.0.3, samba-2.0.5a for a period of time. The Linux was treated as the Samba server. All of the file/printer sharing from the Linux samba server to the MS-Windows 95/98/NT clients are OK. It only got problems in the Windows 2000 (since Beta3, now RC2) as the

Problem in Win95/98 Find Computer
Dear all: I used the samba-2.0.6 under Red Hat 5.2 for a period of time. (I used samba server, not client.) It works fine. Recently, I found one strange problem when I use "Find Computer" from MS-Windows 98. I hope someone could help me to solve this problem. ----> Samba Server got a user (user1) with a password (pass1) (Both /etc/passwd and /etc/smbpasswd used this username and

Howdy, I'm trying to see my Samba shares from my Linux box on my WinNT machine. I can see the Linux box in the Network Neighborhod, but clicking on it just gets the old "remote computer not available". I've got RedHat 6.0 on the Linux box. I can ping the Linux box, I can FTP/Telnet to it, and it's my email server and I have no probl Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I tried at work to run "/usr/bin/smbspool" manually: --- $ /usr/bin/smbspool Xerox-WorkCentre-5325 \'5\' \'yugiohjcj\' \'2.pdf\' \'1\' DEBUG: Connected with username/password... --- The behavior at work is different from the one at home because it is not the same computer used and the /etc/samba/smb.conf is available. However, as you can see above, the

[LLVMdev] Can clang generate the same bitcode with the toolchains that have same version of libraries but different targets
Hi David, Thank you for your reply. In fact, my question originally came from the google native client. I thought that the bitcode can be shared among the different targets as it inherently is. Therefore, I used the clang to generate the bitcode to prove that my thought is right, and I supposed that the different bitcode caused from the different versions of libraries before. Thanks for the

How to prevent logging of some entries in CDR
Hi In order to add several phones to a single extension number, I have replaced entries like: exten => 100,1,Dial(SIP/sipphone100,20,Tr) into: exten => 100,1,Dial(Local/100 at phones,20,Tr) [phones] exten => XXX,1,Dial(SIP.sipphone${EXTEN}) etc This works great. However in the CDR, than seeing one entry for each call, I see several entries in the CDR Worse, if I do something like:

OT - Intel IPP 5.3
Hello, For education purpose, I would like to add G729 support to an Asterisk 1.4.19.1 system. I've read this : http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/ but when downloading Intel IPP software, it appears that latest IPP version is 5.3. As installation instructions here ( http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/doc-svn8.txt) relates to Intel IPP

[LLVMdev] Can clang generate the same bitcode with the toolchains that have same version of libraries but different targets
Hi Óscar, Thank you for your reply. It looks like the limitations are the platform's API and ABI (included the size of variable). So, if there are two platforms that have the same API, ABI but different ISAs, the bitcode can be shared. Can I say that? Thanks, Kenia Kuo 2012/9/25 Óscar Fuentes <ofv at wanadoo.es> > Kenia Kuo <kenkillerkuo at gmail.com> writes: > >

astcc: need partial pin code
I have not used astcc with pin codes so far, since I set-up the phone number as card number. Some of my users want now to dial in to the system and than use their card, which is their phone number. For that I would need a way of authentication, like a pin. I want to use something like: What is your card number: <user keys in the number> Enter your pin: <user enter a long pin>

Samba vs IPP printing
Not including cases of unsupported clients for IPP printing (such as Windows NT) are there any reasons/caveats for installations running CUPS to not move over to IPP printing? Are there any features or benefits to Windows/Samba printing for Windows clients that make it superior compared to IPP?

[LLVMdev] llvm jit acting at runtime, like libgccjit ?
Hello, i mainly code in c/c++ on linux. I would like to know if I can generate code at runtime using llvm, like libgccjit -> https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/jit/ My needs are : create functions, conditions, loops at runtime. libgccjit does the job pretty well but I would like to test llvm too (licence issue). Is it possible ? Is there a resource that helps in that regard ? Kaleidoscope

I have to kill -9 the smbd process befor I can restart it using the init scripts. Any pointers welcome. [2004/11/04 13:55:43, 1] smbd/server.c:open_sockets_smbd(348) Reloading services after SIGHUP

HELP: Dose G.729 with IPP only worked on IntelCPU?
>My CPU is Centaur VIA Nehemiah with 998.715 MHz processor not INTEL CPU. Common Sense dude - The Intel IPPs work only for Intel CPUs. Remove the codec_g729.so file from /usr/lib/asterisk/modules folder and restart asterisk Check if it is working by starting as under: UnixPrompt# asterisk -cvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvf Once this loads correctly use 'Stop now' and restart with command
