I have configured and working this.But ! Very slow ! A lot of cpu usage by smbd. What can I do ? Other disk/cdrom shared works perfectly. 10tx. Eugeny.

I administer an NT network. My boss administers the Unix side. He runs a box that runs Samba. Our NT users have a share on the Samba box that is mapped by their NT profile. It contains their profile and personal file storage. We are planning a move to Windows 2000. It will be in native mode (no NT boxes, no WINS, no netbios). Can Samba handle authentication with Win 2000? What version of Samba

Hello, I am running SAMBA 2.0.7.0 on AIX 4.3.3.0 I have a 1 Tera Byte filesystem on AIX made available to NT and MAC. Help please. I am in the process of configuring Samba 3.0.14a onto 4 AIX 5.3 systems. It seems to be working OK on 3 of the 4, but on the last one, I cannot start smbd. nmbd seems to start fine.
