Can tdbtool be installed on it's own?
Hi guys, I have a Netgear ReadyNas that has Samba v3.4.5 installed on it. I'm having trouble accessing some tdb files and I'm wondering whether the app tdbtool can be installed on its own as it seems that Netgear have pulled it out. I have windows domain users who get denied access for no reason and the events aren't being caught my the standard logs. Plus Netgear force the smb.conf

[OT] switches
Hi, For a very basic setup it would work, but I would suggest POE at a minimum, and vlan support if possible. Gigabit uplinks, 10/100 for the poe ports http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-ProSAFE-M4100-D10-POE-Ethernet-Managed/dp/B00AUEYX0Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1424462577&sr=8-3&keywords=netgear+poe and Gigabit all ports

Netgear FS116P and Cisco 79XX phones
I am hoping that someone has had better luck with this than I have. I would like to connect Cisco 7940s and 7960s to the Netgear FS116P, and take advantage of its POE. I know that the Cisco phones use Cisco's "pre-standard" POE implementation, but as I understand it the difference is really only two pins. I bought a bunch of PowerDsine inline power adapters which supposedly change

Can I pass PPTP packets thru 2 firewalls?
Is it possible to pass PPTP packets through 2 firewalls before they hit the remote access server? I installed a Netgear ProSafe VPN firewall as the first line of defense in my network. I have since set up a Fedora Core 2 server running Shorewall 2.1.3 and Squid in non-transparent mode, between the Netgear unit and my network. So, the Netgear faces the Internet with a public, static, IP address.

SIP to IAX to SIP
Hi all, I have a machine running Ubuntu that I run Asterisk 1.4.x on and it runs very well. On that machine I have a SIP phone. I have configured a netgear wgt634u with asterisk and a SIP phone and linked the two systems together via IAX. Audio from Ubuntu to netgear is not bad, audio from netgear to ubuntu is unintelligible. Any clues as to whether this will work? Configuration suggestions?

Stand alone media player supporting Ogg ?
1. Anyone know of an Ogg playing media player, similar to the Netgear MP101 or the Voyetra AudioTron-100 (neither of which play ogg) ? I need something that will display and play/stream ogg audio files stored on the PC, without having to use a tv as the viewer. I looked on the wiki but didn't find anything. If they don't use a tv they don't play ogg, so far anyway. Voyetra

Error ERRaccess in Samba 2.0.7 printing to Netgear print servers
I recently compiled and installed Samba 2.0.7 on SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 using gcc v 2.7.2.1 (Skunkware 98). I was running Samba 1.9.18p7 with no problems. We use a modified smbprint.sysv script to print to Windows shared printers and also Netgear PS104 print servers. Printing to the Windows shared printers is working fine, but printing to the Netgear print servers does not work. I get the

Dear All, I have this same problem on my ubuntu as in my Centos linux. when i use NetworkManager to connect to my NetGear Access Point with WEP security, the passphrase seems that do not make the correct KEY, so i had to check in the NetGear and enter it manually in EX mode, using iwconfig on CentOS and the networking utility in ubuntu. Windows 2003, Cygwin, and rsync
I just installed Cygwin / OpenSSH / rsync on two Dell PowerVault 745N NASes running Windows 2003 Appliance Edition. My rsync daemons are running, ssh works, and in theory all is well. But... I'm getting an average of maybe 15 Mb/s rsyncing between them. Now, I know I have an issue in the way they're connected... one is attached to a Cisco 2970 (1 Gb/s), which is attached to a NetGear

Hello, ??????? I upgraded two DC's to 4.12.2 from 4.11.6 before I noticed authentication issues with a couple Netgear ReadyNAS we have. Problem with the IAXy and Netgear Hubs!
Hi, I'm having trouble when I try to contact any of my IAXy boxes connected to a Netgear (DS516 and DS524) hub, but if I connect the IAXy box to another hub or switch (not netgear) or directly to my Asterisk server with a crossover cable it works just fine. Do you have any idea of what can be causing this? Thanks in advance, Raul.
