Can we disable secondary_bus_reset in runtime?
I think we need this feature at least for debugging purpose, right? Or, do we already have this feature? Thanks, Neo -- I would remember that if researchers were not ambitious probably today we haven''t the technology we are using! _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

smblib/auth
I need to do an smb auth in an application I'm writing. I've looked at the source in smblib/*.c but I'm unsure which library and which function call I should link against. I'm looking for something like this $result = smb_auth($user,$pass,$pdc); so that I can check if a user/pass combination is a valid username/password on the windows network. What library, and what function

SMBlib: status? My mod's
Is anyone actively maintaining/working-on the SMBlib? I saw a post that hinted that there might be, but that was three months ago, and not a whisper since. I just added the LanMan1 (as I recall...) locking_andx function to SMBlib, and built a (trivial) Perl xs interface for the SMBlib. I'm not likely to do a whole lot more unless I pick up more business in that area -- not something I

smblib
What is the status of this software ? Is there anobody taking care of it ? I ask, because I've got incredible and strange problems using it (SIGSEGVs in library routines...) and I want to ask if this is reliable software... OR: is there any project ongoing which hash an aim to make a user friendly library of routines to use windows shares from "C" ? I want to point that in list

Accessing Samba share over the Internet
Hi, I want to connect to a share on a Samba server over the Internet. I have the Samba server installed and working OK (for NT clients at least) but when I connect from my NT workstation over the Internet I get 'Invalid Handle' dialogs when I try to map a network drive. I think it should be OK but one major difference is the remote NT workstation is not a member of the domain in which

Re: CentOS and SL, together? -- GPL, LGPL, kernel and user ...
From: Johnny Hughes <mailing-lists at hughesjr.com> > Sorry ... I was talking about the SRPM from SL ... it also build the > kernel modules ... Oh, right, sorry -- understand what you mean now. BTW, one of the worst assumptions I've seen is that because a distro or project ships something, its users believe it was done legally or with permission. I've seen many cases where

LGPL IAX2 software phone (for WIndows/Linux platforms)
I don't want to rain on Dan's parade, but I'd like to call everyone's attention to an existing project. Steve Kann has developed a crossplatform IAX/IAX2 library, and there are a few clients available for it. I have written iaxComm using the wx toolkit. It compiles and runs under Windows XP using the MinGW tool chain. A precompiled IAX only version is available at

Re: CentOS and SL, together? -- GPL, LGPL, kernel and user ...
From: Johnny Hughes <mailing-lists at hughesjr.com> > Nope ... I can't build that with GNU gcc and against GNU glibc and > release it ... sorry, no OpenAFS :( ??? Actually, you _can_. You just can't link it into the GPL kernel program. [ I'm not posting this to cross you. But someone correct me if I'm wrong. ] There is nothing in the GPL that prevents a GPL

LGPL relicense port of rsync
Hi Martin, 2016-01-23 18:41 GMT+01:00 Martin Pool <mbp at sourcefrog.net>: > It seems like yajsync is a reimplementation of rsync's protocol by looking > at the GPL'd C rsync source, but it doesn't actually include any code from > rsync. Is that right? Yes correct, it is a complete rewrite in Java. Most of it is completely different, only some small parts of the actual

Pure Java theora implementation - LGPL
I've started working on a pure-java port of Theora under the LGPL, as a subproject of FMJ, the open-source implementation of JMF. It is similar to and dependent on the jogg/jorbis libraries from jcraft. The Cortado implementation is nice, but since it is GPL, that is too restrictive for FMJ, which is LGPL. This is, naturally, a large undertaking, and any help by anyone interested would

Licenses GPL and LGPL
Hello, I am new to Cortado and I am very interested in playing video in some of my Java applets using the Theora decoder. I would like to write a LGPL library to use the decoders in Processing (see processing.org). I prefer LGPL over GPL because it allows a wider usage of the library. The core libraries of Processing are released under LGPL as well. I would like to use com.fluendo.plugin and

Wine LGPL version
I can't understand what version of the LGPL you are using for the Wine source code. > Wine is free software. The licensing terms are the GNU Lesser General Public License. There are 2 links in your main page: the first links to the official LGPL v3 page http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.html the second links to a page of the WineHQ site, showing the LGPL v2.1

Using Dovecot code in a non-LGPL package
Hi Timo (and all!), Venaktesh is a friend of mine working on a patch to the venerable Alpine mail reader so it can read Maildir format mailboxes on disk. Venkatesh wanted to know if he could use some code from Dovecot's lib-storage (safely opening/reading Maildirs, including accounting for NFS and ESTALE) and the UID->message mapping code. This way, Dovecot and Alpine would agree on

Closed Source Releases (Ekk a LGPL problem)
Hi every one, I have an unfortunate need to release a closed source BeOS media codec for Vorbis, basically I'm using headers under an NDA so I can't release them. (Yeah I know closed source boo hiss). So I have a couple of question about what I need to do for all this to be above board. I've made no changes to the libraries so thats not a problem. As far as I can see as
