Hi I have samba 2.0.2-1 running on a linux box having kernel 2.0.36. I have an NT 4 sp3 having a domain name RNDENT. I have included the linux box into the NT domain. I also have the smbpasswd file and cerated samba users. Samba is configured in such a way that even if NT is down samba takes over as the PDC and authenticates users.
