Deleting Roaming Profiles
Hello,
If you don?t want (Who wants ?) to save roaming profiles under
Winnt\Profiles, than you have to change, or create (if not exist) a
registry string:
Run regedt32.exe and locate the key entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Add (or change) the following string:
DeleteRoamingCache
Standard value is 0, it has to be 1
All the Best.

Problems with passwords (PR#20895) !!!!
Hello,
I reported problem PR#20895.
So - i use encrypted passwords. All new unix users are appended to
smbpasswd with one script.
Every new user is getting a line like this:
s1077347:2006:NO PASSWORDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:NO
PASSWORDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:[NU ]:LCT-00000000:user name
The parameter null passwords is NO. Every user who has not set their
password can login into Samba NT

Samba 3 PDC with ldapsam and login problem
Hi,
<foreword>
I am about to set up Samba 3.0.14a on Linux as PDC wit LDAP backend for
our faculty. However, first tries have only partly been successful.
First I added samba LDAP-Schema attributes to existing account, created
their Samba passwords with smbpasswd and it worked so that normal users
could log in via the windows network neighborhood and use the shares.
But, I couldn't

SAMBA 1.9.18p10 problem
I have been using Samba 1.9.18p8 in a Solaris 2.6 machine for months
but suddenly this week there is a problem. Nothing's changed.
I have some persistent connection of my NTSP3 client to the samba share.
When I login as usual, it fails to mount the drive. It either prompt for
password but whatever password the samba rejects, or give a "Access is
Denied" when you try to access the

dovecot+LDAP/AD encoding issue
Hello everybody,
i have a problem with dovecot+Active Directory as Authentication-Service. I am not able to use special characters (???? (german umlaut)) within a password. Normally I would suggest that the ldap-query is done in UTF-8 but as I debugged the auth-process, I have seen that the password is ISO-8859-1 encoded.
The "original" query (from roundcube for example) is UTF-8

oplock and SCO 5.0.4
Hi
Just thought I'd "help" everyone by stoking the argument about oplocks
having a timing problem with a vague set of observations :-)
I have a strange problem using samba 2.0.5a on SCO 5.0.4:
With the binary compiled versions kindly provided by Stephen Davies on
ftp.sdc.com.au I have no problems reading or writing files to the SCO
server at all.
However, when I compile my own

Samba and client oplock breaks over WAN
This only happens with PCs on the other end of a bridged 56k DDS line.
It also affects DOS and W98 clients the same.
Clients can log onto the domain ok, and browse. But trying to drag
a file, or even right-click it in W98 explorer, cause the machine
to hang, and eventually blue screen with a VREDIR VXD error.
If I copy to Samba, sometimes it works, but then the file is zero bytes.

[LLVMdev] Module::getOrInsertFunction determinism
Hi Philip,
Thank you very much for your comments.
I think I’ve discovered a root cause. The problem was in linking bit code
archive files with the module.
At some point, std::set<Module*> is used and iterated over. I believe this
was the reason why e.g. It worked consistently with
ASLR turned off and produced non-deterministic output otherwise. I changed
that bit to use vector instead and

9.1-RC3 reproducible kernel panic in ffs_valloc?
Hello :-)
After days of problem with my system storage (?) I think I have located the
issue, or at least I am able to reproduce it, please take a look at
attached picture (photo of a crash).

At first I thought that was the Ext2 filesystem issue, but then I have
replaced the filesystem to UFS2-SU+J (which increased transfer efficiency

FreeBSD9.2-RC1 bootonly network installation fetch error (snapshots vs releases)
Hello :-)
I am installing the 9.2-RC1 bootonly iso which wants to download stuff from
snapshots while it is in releases directory:
Installer wants to get 9.2-RC1 stuff from here (where it is missing):
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/i386/i386/
While the stuff is at:
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/i386/9.2-RC1/
Please fix :-)
Best regards :-)

[LLVMdev] Module::getOrInsertFunction determinism
Hi Tim,
Thank you very much for quick response. What happens in my case is that
mixing calls to getOrInsertFunction
with linking another bit code module to the current module seems to be
sometimes producing different outputs.
Difference might be with the ordering of functions in the file (I¹m
looking at LLVM IR representation), with numbers
used for constant variables, numbers used in the ³dbg²
