Fixed Point on Renesas M32C?
Hi All, I'm a Speex newbie wanting to figure if it's worth trying to get the fixed point decoder working on an M32C processor. It has a hardware 16x16->32 multiply and a 16x16+48->48 multiply/accumulate in about 8 cycles and runs at 25Mhz. No shortage of RAM. I'm confident that I could make it work and am willing to commit the effort, but before I do so I should ask: 1) Does

Time sync not working with Windows 10
After our office upgraded to Windows 10, time sync stopped working with the Windows workstations. This used to work fine with Windows 7 and still works with linux domain members (although that's not surprising). The Windows 10 workstations ended up operating off the CMOS clock. We didn't notice this for a long time since the CMOS clock drift is slow, but after several months users started

User has no privileges to add printer or even change his wallpaper
Hello I have a question related to Samba + Win2k Workstations. I have replaced a Win2k server by Samba (2.2.4). Everything was fine: the users could login and access shares, but they could not connect to printers shared on another Win2k workstations and even could not change their wallpapers. Since I needed to do that work fast, the solution I could find to this situation was to give to all

Digital unix & passwords
I'm having a problem with samba validating against the /etc/password file with Digital Unix. We have 2 Alpha systems, one running unix 4.0d, the other running 4.0e. The 4.0d system is using enhanced security, the 4.0e system is not (the major application for that machine won't run with enhanced security). I have samba 2.0.2 installed on both machines. There are no problems with the

question re: samba on Digital UNIX 4.0d
Hi everyone, I'm going to try to install samba on a Compaq (Digital) alphaserver 400 running Digital UNIX 4.0d (formerly OSF/1). I've never used samba before. I have been reading the documentation and wonder if anyone can help answer a question or two... The bundled book "Using Samba" (as well as at least one FAQ I believe), suggests I may need to run the configure script using

Can some files be invisible to some users?
This may or may not be relevant to Samba -- hiding files, permissions, etc. I have half a dozen Windows XP video editing workstations all accessing the same data on my Linux Box. Each video editing worstation ideally would like to create it's own index of the video files in the shared directory. The video editing program stores the index data in a file that it HAS to write to the same
