Re: dovecot Digest, Vol 21, Issue 24: vacation messages
Normally, the vacation message works with the default mail server (MTA).
In my case, I use the vacation program. Postfix delivers to the local
mail user and if they have a .forward with the vacation info on it gets
called.
For a truly virtual setup that does not require unique uids
on the filesystem there is gnarwl. Gnarwl is a program written in C
that does vacation messages for virtual

"Digest" version of R-help and R-devel mailing lists
A few of you have expressed the desire for a "digest" subscription to the
R-help and/or R-devel mailing lists.
{This may be especially useful if you leave for vacation etc}.
These ``digest lists'' have now been put into place, i.e., if you don't
want to get as much e-mail from R-help or R-devel as currently,
but still would want to be in touch,
you could now consider

Error Mapping Clearcase Views/Vobs using Samba
Hi All,
Users at our site are using SAMBA (Version 2.0.8 and 1.9.15p8) to map their Home
Directories and their Clearcase Vobs/Views on their Windows 2000 desktops. Home
directories are being mapped without any issues but while mapping their
views/vobs we are getting the error stated below:

session request to *SMBSERVER failed
I am having a problem with samba on a Sun Ultra running Solaris 2.6. I got the error:
--
session request to WWW20 failed
session request to *SMBSERVER failed
--
This happened after a reboot, samba was running perfect before. The smb.conf is fine, it was tested on another server and worked. Netstat -a shows that it is listening on port 139.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

stepwise variable selection method wanted
Hi List,
I am looking for a variable selection procedure with a forward-backward selection method.
Firstly, it is meant to work with the cophenetic
correlation coefficient (CPCC) and intended to find the variable combination with the
highest cophenetic correlation. Secondly, it is aimed at Gower metric with
wards method (though this could be easily extended) aimed at categorical data.

sieve vacation error
Hello everybody,
First, I want to thank the development team for the quality and the
stability of dovecot. It's now running without problem since two years
on my debian box.
Next, I'd like you help me to solve the problem I have with
vacation/sieve script. My configuration is debian lenny, with standard
dovecot packages (1.0). I have setup the sieve plugin, using roundcube

Elbow criterion plots for determining k in hierarchical clustering
Hi There,
I'm working on some cluster analyses on a large data-set using hclust with
Wards method and Manhattan (city block) distance measures. I've created
dendrograms to illustrate the clustering criteria, but would like to create
a plot to examine for the classic elbow criterion to use in determining the
best number of clusters. Ideally I'd like to plot percent variance

inserting mathematical symbols in lattice strip
I have tried without success to find a way including the square root symbol
in lattice strips as part of my conditioning labels. I have tried
supplementing by creating a list of vectors using the var.name function
coupled with the expression function used in xlab/ylab.
