Dovecot 2.1.9 shared folder deletion causes fault
Hey all,
I'm getting a fault in dovecot (see below) using shared folders. I have
a mailbox that receives new mail (Account X/INBOX). Another account
(Account A) has access to the other account (Account X/INBOX) with ACL
below.
The ACL directory (.DEFAULT) contains:
user=AccountA lrwst
I removed a test email from Account A/INBOX, which is supposed to remove
the email from Account X/INBOX. A

Where are the older versions?
Hi,
Anyone know where I can get a .tar.gz of 2.0.2? I'd like this version,
since the PDC code is reportedly more stable than 2.0.3. Or has this
been fixed in 2.0.3?
Thanks,

Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine publishes Samba art icle.
I got mcp mag a day or two ago, Great writeup!!
I was a little surprised that they ran such a glowing review of samba,
with some of the negative implications on NT. It is very nice to see
Microsoft show an interest in interoperability.

Samba performance
Hi all.
I know this has probably been asked before, but I need a quick answer, and
didn't find anything on the net.
Has anyone done any benchmark comparisons of server speed from Win95
clients, accessing files on a Samba 1.9.17p1 server share, as compared to
an NT Server, running on the same server hardware? If so, how did Samba
1.9.17 measure up to the NT server?
I need an answer to this,

Mutex lock contention against Active directory domain controllers causing authentication failures
Hello,
We are using Samba 3.4.6 (packaged by opencsw.org) against Active Directory 2003 on our primary University filestore. The operating system is Solaris 10 Update 10. We have a number of domain controllers. For the past two days on our main filestore has been failing connections from a number of clients.
When using smbclient (or indeed any client) connecting to the Samba server we see logs

Dear Help
I'm new to R (from matlab)...using windows XP.
I've tried to work out, to no avail, 4 things:
1) rotating the numbers on axes...something to do with par(str) ??
2) how to close a window having opened one e.g. windows(7,7)
3) how to manipulate the key (e.g. dots, lines etc) on the legend. Using pch just gives me the same key for all functions on a plot.

NT & Win98 slow copies
Howdy all:
For those who are curious (eg, Peter de Groot
<pdgtech@wantree.com.au>) here are the (I think) relevant posts
from recent samba digests concerning win98 and or NT performance
problems copying files between local drives and samba shares. It
looks like there should be some new options to play with in the
next samba release. Could Jeremy or Andrew confirm?

Error: value of 'SET_CXTAIL' must be a char or NULL, not a 'char'
Dear List
On windows XP using R.2.6.2 I get the message
Error: value of 'SET_CXTAIL' must be a char or NULL, not a 'char'
in connection with calling C code (using the .Call interface). I have been unable to find any info on this (in Writing R extensions). Can anyone help me with understanding this error? (In case it helps in tracking the problem: I pass two matrices and a

CHAR(STRING_ELT( - OK but CHAR(asChar(STRING_ELT( - not, why?
Any idea why CHAR(asChar(STRING_ELT( produces NA whereas
CHAR(STRING_ELT( gets a pointer to a string? It's generally expected
that STRING_ELT should already be a character, but why the coercion does
not work? Here is a simple example (consistent over R2.5.1-R2.6 rev

validates_length_of with char field
I am new to ruby/rails and am having a problem with validates_length_of.
It seems to work fine on a varchar field, but when I try it on a char
field the extra characters are silently truncated and the message
appears that the record was successfully updated.
How can I get my app to produce my error message instead? I''ve tried
various variations, but here''s one of my tries:

create_table and char columns
When I use create_table to make a table :string always makes a varchar
column. How can I make it so that :string will make a char column?
create_table(:accounts, :options => ''ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT'') do |table|
# This creates a varchar column, I would like a char column.
table.column :username, :string

How to transfer a list of space delimited character elements into a char vector?
My dear R-helpers:
I am a novice in R and have the following text string manipulation question.
Is there a function that performs the job described below?
Say,
wanted_output <- c("ab", "cd", "ef")
#the function_wanted can generate c("ab", "cd", "ef") using ab cd ef as the
single input argument
wanted_output <- function_wanted(ab
