K3b seems to agree with me, since it lists it as an appendable data cd. However, I can't find any way to close the session in k3b. I have a small LAN in my basement, with my PC running RH5 Linux and a Win95 PC connected by Samba. Everything works fine, but when I smbmount a CD (burned with xcdroast) from the Linux box (CD is in the Win95 machine) I do not get the proper filenames. List, Sorry to trouble anyone, a google on my error from k3b lead me to a permissions issue, but after searching through several of the links (including a few forums) I've failed to turn up exactly what the permissions should be or if that is even an accurate solution. On the system I'm testing with the CD-Rom drive is IDE but the softlink at /dev/cdrom points to the scsi device and that's not working with the automounter for some reason.
