printcap printer names
I am running Samba 2.0.6 successfully on a Linux machine. Currently I try to add the two printers in our net to Samba. Now I wonder which printer names in the printcap are shown when I do a 'smbclient -L <linux machine>'. The printcap contains something like remote22|HPL4kSC|HP Laserjet floor 4 ... remote21|HPLaser4|HP Laserjet floor 3 Now the first printer shows up as

Obtaining the chroot-cage directory of the mailstore
Hello, I'd like to find a function in the sourcecode which enables me to get the chroot-path of the mailstore, so I can concatenate it with the result of mail_storage_get_mailbox_path to get the full path of a mailbox within the filesystem. Does such a function exist? Who can help me? Thanks in advance. Stefan -- SIEGNETZ.IT GmbH { w3o-services } Schneppenkauten 1a D-57076 Siegen

doveadm search/expunge with public folders
Hi all, can I expunge or search emails in public folders? The command 'doveadm expunge -u rzimmermann mailbox Public/folder all' does not delete emails in the folder 'Public/folder'. The command 'doveadm expunge -u rzimmermann mailbox Spam all' does delete emails in the folder 'Spam'. The user rzimmermann has all rights in 'Public/folder'. Greets Ralf

writing a dovecot plugin / segfault
Hi together, I am new to this list and new to dovecot itself. I have to write a plugin that implements some ACL-voodoo to be used instead of the standard ACL stuff of dovecot (it shall allow just application-driven folder-sharing - no more, no less). Though I started programming with C, my last experiences are some days old, but now I have written the function sekeletons and the registration

get username of logged in user
Hello, can I anywhere get the name of the currently logged in user? I'm still implementing a custom ACL plugin (IMAP commands MYRIGHTS, GETACL, SETACL, DELETEACL), and for some functions (for example storing the current folder's ACL in combination with this username) I need to obtain the currently logged in IMAP user. Is this possible? If yes - how? Thanks in advance. Best regards

Coding question again...
Hello again, I have a coding question again: I can obtain the path of the current user's mailbox with the function mail_storage_get_mailbox_path(...) - so far so good. But is it possible to get this mailbox path for another user than the logged in one? Thanks in advance. Best regards. non-digest format of this list?
I always get the messages of this list in a digest format. This is bad to handle, esp. if you want to answer a question found in the digest. Does everyone else also get the list as a digest? Is there a way to switch to single messages? If not how do I easily answer messages which the subject correctly set? Or how do I automatically split the digest into the separate messages? For your

possible setup?
I wonder whether the following setup is possible with Samba since I have problems to get it running: I want password checking for Samba shares on a Linux Samba server to be done via the NT password server. This is mainly thought for the users home directories. Since the users already have given their password to the local workstation I have thought that they do not need to give it again when

weakforced and GeoIP lookups
Hi Tobi, it should just work, but depends on the OS version. ./configure ?help tells you all the configure options, including: --with-maxminddb-includedir path to maxminddb include directory [default=auto] --with-maxminddb-libdir path to maxminddb library directory [default=auto] Neil > On 14 May 2019, at 17:44, Tobi via dovecot <dovecot at dovecot.org>

Hi Neil according to yum list installed I have > libmaxminddb-devel.x86_64 1.2.0-1.el7 @epel but I checked the saved output from my former ./configure command and found > checking for GEOIP... no but even running a new autoreconf -i and ./configure after a make clean it still shows that GEOIP is not found. Does the lib has to explicitly specified as argument

weakforced and GeoIP lookups
Hi Tobi, This looks like you haven?t included the libmaxmind libraries before running configure. GeoIP support is only compiled in if it finds the right libs. This would be libmaxminddb-dev on Ubuntu for example. Neil >> Hi list >> >> hope it's okay to ask weakforced questions here as well, but I could not >> find a dedicated mailinglist for wforce. >>
