similar to: WIN 98 - Plain passwd?

I have a question about Win98 and Samba. Is there a registry fix similar to the WinNT plaintext passwd that needs to be performed? Win95, and WinNT can see Linux via Netbios, but the same machine, running Win98 cannot see the Linux box. I am running the most current version of Samba. The WinNT box can see the 98 machine fine. Does anyone have any experience with this? Please let me know if

Hello all, I have a RedHat 5.1 system running SAMBA and the machines and users log on properly but no one can select, create, delete or do anything with subdirectories. Hi, I am using Samba 1.9.18. The server is running on Solaris 2.5.1 and the client is on Win NT 4.0 I am annoyed by the Control-M characters appearing in text files when the files are edited on Windows editors and viewed in vi on Sun machine. I had to manually remove the Control-M characters. Is there a way to eliminate the Control M characters ? Thanks Krishna

Hi, I have come to my wits end again (lately, it's a very short trip). I have been trying to connect to Samba 3.0.21b but Windows keeps throwing up the logon dialog. I'm using "Map network drive" to try to mount this share. It seems the problem is only on the Windows side since I have tested the connection through the Unix account.
