And I have verified I am typing in the correct password.
So it looks like there is some problem with encryption or something.
smbd and nbmd are version 2.9999 (Debian packages)
Thanks.

Q2/R2 ratio in PLSDA
Hello,
I would like to perform a Partial least square discriminate analysis (PLSDA) in R.
To do this I use the package mixOmics.
I could perform the PLSDA in R. however I would also like to perform a leave-one-out cross validation in order to assess the performance of my model. My supervisor told me that I should focus on the R2/Q2 ratios.
However when I read the instruction for running the

Samba server with Win XP clients: Problems.
Hello!!
I am trying to set up a Samba server with Win XP Pro
clients.
In brief, this is the current set up:
Comp1: Firewall (DHCP) Linux
Comp2: Proxy (Squid) Linux
Comp3: W2K server (AD)
My final objective is to replace Comp3 with a Linux
server (Fedora Core 3) running Samba, which in turn
will handle the roaming profiles.
This is current problem that I am encountering:

Samba AD member - how to force sync AD attributes?
I have a setup with a single Windows DC and a couple of Samba member
servers, set up using the AD backend.
I noticed I made a mistake when setting up a group, giving it a gidNumber
that was already in use. So, using ADUC, I quickly changed it to a free
number.
And yet, running the command on a member server, getent group still shows
the number from before the change. 20 minutes later, still the

Using a group variable for a group of extension to dial
I ahve been searching to no avail for a referenc eon how to setup a part
of my dial plan that will ring certain groups of number based upon the
context. Essentually, I want to be able to designate 3 people as sales
and have my IVR handoff and ring their extensions in order. Then maybe
I will ahve a couple of people I group together and have them ring if

Samba + BIND9 DLZ. DNS dosen't resolve FQDN, only short hostname
Well, finally I found the recommendations against .local here:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Active_Directory_Naming_FAQ
However, still, the originating wiki should AFAIK be more verbose.
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_an_Active_Directory_Domain_Controller
For now it only says "Make sure that you provision the AD using a DNS

FILE CACHE/LOCKING DOES NOT WORK
The problem:
A file updated on a UNIX box (Solaris2.6) then viewed on a Win95 PC via
samba is fine, if you copy this file using Windows Explorer to e.g. your
desktop, this is fine first time. But, if you repeat this operation then
the file size reported by Windows Explorer is correct but the file size
reported on the local copy is still the original size. This operation needs
to be repeated

Can't see my Samba/Linux server on Win95 browser
Hello,
I am new on Samba and need to set up Samba server on a Linux server for
Windows 95 clients. I installed Samba from RedHat Linux 6.1 CD. My smb.conf

After this configuration, I can map drive from Win95 machine using NET USE
command. But, I can not see my linux server (or Samba

Hm,
I thought this to be the very TLD that is specifically assigned for
local networks with no plans to become Internet-wide. What is the
recommended TLD for such networks then?

prcomp compared to SPAD
Hi !
I've used the example given in the documentation for the prcomp function
both in R and SPAD to compare the results obtained.
Surprisingly, I do not obtain the same results for the coordinates of
the principal composantes with these two softwares.
using USArrests data I obtain with R :

[PATCH] Re: Samba 4.1.17 classic update w/LDAP - parsing error
Hallo,
I have two news. The first one: the patch probably works. Second: there
is another bug.
When I encountered the bug again after patching, I have raised debug
level and figured out that the problem is with user "guest" - he was in
our old domain, however samba-tool probably creates him automatically
and then couldn't import him.
So, please fix the tool so that it ignores such

Using a group variable for a group ofextension to dial
That could be it. What I want to do is set a group of callers and have
the event cause the phone to ring them in order. I will tie it to my
IVR portion and thus I can make sure peole in sales get calls based on
our hierarchy in the office. So if I am reading your example right the
syntax is....
Exten => 501,1,Dial(SIP/PHONE1&SIP/PHONE2&SIP/PHONE3), rtf)
Is that a valid way to cause
