I'm trying to figure out an intelligent way to install apps on the network server, and be able to install once and have all the clients use this. However, it seems like most installations modify the registry and seem to demand a client-by-client installation. Am I missing something on this? Hello, I need to serve one fileshare to different users in different groups ( I do so ). I gave different users different groups and told samba to make new files owned by user:group, mod 775. But now some users have the need to write in the directory of another group.
