Passwords fail from Win95 but not from DOS (Samba 1.9.16p11/NetBSD)
Hi, I'm having some problems with Samba 1.9.16p11 on a Sun3/60 running NetBSD 1.2. I have a Win95 client and a couple of DOS clients on a single ethernet segment (it's at home :-). I've set up a simple configuration, intention was just to serve files from the Sun to the PC's. Everything works perfectly except authentication from the Win95 client. I can connect to the Samba shares

[LLVMdev] New target for Microblaze clone with two threads.
Hi guys, I'm new here. I want to write a backend for a microblaze clone, aemb. ( http://www.aeste.my/aemb). I already copy the existing Mblaze target and rename it into aemb and it work exactly as Mblaze, for now. My plan after this is to modify it according to my aemb core. The difference between aemb and MBlaze is that aemb support *two threads*. Any advise or guide where should I dig into

explorer freezes on right-clicking .exe's
I'm using samba 2.1 pre-alpha. When I right click an .exe file on the most shares, explorer freezes, and must be killed to recover. The problem doesn't show up on the home shares, but appears on any other shares I create. I've experienced this problem on many different workstations. Looking at the logs, it seems to be a problem with oplocks; the part of the log that seems to apply is

Using local writes with gluster for temporary storage
Hi, We have a cluster with 130 compute nodes with an NAS-type central storage under gluster (3 bricks, ~50TB). When we run large number of ocean models we can run into bottlenecks with many jobs trying to write to our central storage. It was suggested to us that we could also used gluster to unite the disks on the compute nodes into a single "disk" in which files would be written

Samba1.9.16 <1.5.4.32.19970911173832.008ebd1c@up-intrepid.unl.edu>
All, I have an entry in a user's log file that is as follows: 06/26/98 19:11:11 chdir(getwd: can't stat .) failed in unbecome_user Does anyone have ideas as to why this occurs? It happens *VERY* often when it occurs - like 40 times per second...and is generating huge log files. I found the entry in the code, and could comment it out, but I want to know why it's happening.
