Logon script
Hello, I am having a little problem with executing logon scripts on Win95 clients, logging into Samba Netlogon service. When a user logges in, a MS-DOS prompt shows up and quicky disappears. Then I get "Please Wait While your logon script executes". It hangs at that point. A user has to hit cancel to start his win95 session. I have done the logon script in MS-DOS editor. I have the

Hi, I have set up samba to enable Domain-Logons for windows95/98. I am using Samba-1.9.18p7. I have a share netlogon with a batchfile for connection network drives. Everything is working. But when I create a policies file and put it onto the netlogon share windows doesn't use it. I have named it config.pol. Is there another special thing to configure? I have found archives of this

How to set Netscape enviroment on Samba home drive ?
> Does anybody know if it is possible to configure Netscape in such a way > that ALL netscape preferences and options (most important is email > address) will be saved on samba home ? You get this kind of stuff by default with roaming profiles.( ie user.dat or ntuser.dat ) If you are referring to netscape 4 then just point the profile to the home directory (mapped to a consistent drive

Printer banner always 'nobody'
I've had this problem as long as I've been using samba: every time anyone prints from a PC they get a banner page labeling them 'nobody.' Now, I realize this has to do with the guest account being 'nobody,' and the server is passing that name to the printer. It can get very frustrating, though, when lots of folks use the same printer and all of the jobs have the same name

Warning when compiling nmbd_incomingdgrams.c
I just downloaded samba-1.9.18p3.tar.gz and compiled it on a DEC 3000/300 running OSF/1 v3.0 (uname -mrsv gives: "OSF1 V3.0 347 alpha") using the built-in cc compiler. The compiler gives the following warning: Compiling nmbd_incomingdgrams.c /usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/cfe: Warning: nmbd_incomingdgrams.c, line 452: Unknown character \ ignored ((DEBUGLEVEL>=(5))?(Debug1

VSP authentication to incorrect context
All, I'm hoping someone can direct me as to why when someone calls my DID Asterisk tries to authenticate the incoming call on my outbound context. If I remove the GoTalk context I can receive incoming calls. Outbound calls work fine while I have the GoTalk context in place. The error I am getting when someone calls the DID is WARNING[16072]: chan_sip.c:8272 check_auth: username mismatch,

Where to report typos/bugs in the Prototype API online docs?
I was wondering where to report typos/bugs for the Prototype online API docs (http://prototypejs.org/api)? Seems a bit overkill to submit typos to the Rail Trac - but perhaps that''s the correct place? Additionally, the website indicates that this documentation is written in Markdown. Is the documentation from which the online API is generated in SVN? I saw a documentation branch

Help on seting SAMBA on a Intergraph server running CLIX
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello: I'm trying to share a partition on a Intergraph 6480 running CLIX. The OS is CLIX version 3.1 (ISS) r.7.6.20. The server is at a University Lab and all the clients are either Windows NT or Windows 95. I tried NFS, but Windows doesn't support it natively and is much slower/unreliable than SAMBA. Does SAMBA support this
