Anyone have experience getting Poser 7 to work?
Hi, I just installed the latest wine and got all kinds of software to work on my box, which is really cool! I'm having trouble with Poser 7, though. I've successfully installed it, and can mostly run it, but it seems like a lot of the windows within tend to disappear mysteriously when clicking outside of them. They come back if you click the right widget, but I find it highly intrusive,

How to install nfs on a LAN-Drive with SMB-Server on it?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, The LAN-Drive i use is to have a central Music- and Movies-Database. The problem is that the files are not automounted, and thus not 'part' of the 'local' fs. This way, the info: mp3's and movies, are seen as 'stream'. This has various disadvantages, such as not being able to 'read' 'tabs' in advance,

[LLVMdev] Interpreting stack maps for purposes of precise GC
Hi all, I've been using the llvm.gcroot intrinsic combined with the generated machine stack maps to attempt to do precise GC without the use of a shadow stack. (This is all research work on a novel language so I have no existing system to compare against, for the record.) Most of my test suite is working and tracing stack roots correctly. However, there seem to be some scenarios where the

Standard genres for the "Genre" Field?
It might be a good idea to have a list of standard genres that are suggested for use in the Genre field, just so that (polished) encoders can give the user a list to pick from when encoding a song, instead of making the user come up with one their own. This might seem like an encoder issue at first, but if two different encoders use two different names for a specific genre it's going to

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Developer Policy for LLVM C API
Wow, this went of topic very quickly ;-) As you know I am very interested in an stable API (C and/or C++) for LLVM, but maybe we should discuss this in a separate thread. Designing a good stable API from scratch will take some time and until that point I want to document our current “tribal knowledge”. I will post a patch as you suggested. —Juergen > On Jul 20, 2015, at 1:08 PM, Eric

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Developer Policy for LLVM C API
Hi Juergen, Sean, I definitely agree with needing to write down the policy and definitely any policy should include a deprecation time :) Did you want to write up something and let us poke at it? A couple of thoughts outside of a deprecation policy: a) guarantee that the api itself won't go away, but could possibly be turned into a noop? (i.e. source compatibility) b) versioning? (Should

R.oo: do work on data member at construction
Hello, I'd like to 'do work' on data members upon construction (i.e. without implementing it in a get method). Is this the best way to create data member 'z' upon construction? I'm thinking if .z=paste(x,y) below gets more complex I'll run into issues. setConstructorS3("MyClass", function(x=NA,y=NA,...) { this <- extend(Object(), "MyClass",

Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a Bug Report
Hi, there. While waiting for the encoder RC1, I will report some minor problems I experienced with Peter's Winamp decoder. First, I am using Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a with Winamp v.2.76 on Windows 98 SE. 1. When the buttons of Playlist Editor are extended, the part extended in playlist screen seems to be flickering when an Ogg file is being played. 2. I check the option of

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Developer Policy for LLVM C API
I also misunderstood your original transition proposal in this point. I agree with Jim that we should keep the current C-API where it is and have a separate location for the bindings. I envision that we will need the current C-API and the new stable C-API to overlap for at least one release cycle to allow a smooth transition without breaking all the clients out there. Some clients only read the

overlay histograms on map at map coordinates
Hi all, I'm trying to visualize animal movement data characteristics spatiotemporally by overlaying many different histograms on a map. I want the histograms to be plotted at coordinates in the map that matches a region they describe. If I was just doing this once, I'd fiddle in Illustrator after R and avoid the headache. But I'll be doing it many many times so it seems
