Yes, I know, XP-SP3 is very old. It works for what I need it for. I have some programs that will never be updated for Win 7. Note that XP-SP3 and Fedora 14 work together just fine, so I'm guessing that a newer version of Samba is what is keeping me from logging in from XP. I have accidentally uploaded some files to a VPS server using rsync through an ssh transport mechanism. I used the following command to upload the files: rsync -avzh --progress /srv/source-path root at server The directory exists on the host server as subsequent file runs don't transfer data. OK, I've been searching the archives and google with little luck... I have a directory which needs to be shared with a number of UNIX clients via NFS and with Windows clients via Samba. What is the best way to do this? Should I configure Samba to share the actual NFS mount? Or should I configure Samba to share the actual filesystem directory?
