APC Smart UPS 900i
Hi,
I'm running an old APC Smart UPS 900i. As there isn't any software from APC which supports this
UPS anymore, I've installed NUT (Gentoo Ebuilds), but version 2.0.5 and version 2.2.2 loose
connection to the UPS while version 2.4.1 and SVN version don't show any settings and there are no
instant commands.
The only information I can get are:
driver.name: apcsmart

Checksum-caching on server
Hi,
as scanning large repositories for each client connection causes
unnecessary CPU/IO load, I want to know if is it possible to generate
checksum digest files on the server, meanwhile?
Best regards,

Missing connection
Hi,
I've set up Tinc in switch-mode on the three nodes "gw", "rb493g" and
"v900w", but the nodes "rb493g" and "w900v" do not connect to each
other.
On each node port 655 is opened with TCP and UDP.
"gw": static IPv4- and IPv6 address listed in the hosts-file "gw"

Change Bit Value To Text When Viewed
Hey All, very simple question for you folks ;)
I have a @commutes object that for each record there is a bit value set
(0/1) to denote if an accident occurred. What I want to do is have it
display "Yes" or "No" when I view the listing of commutes. I can get it to
display the bit value just fine with <%= commute.accident %> but how can I
get it so that when a record with

projecting GIS coordinates for analysis with spatstat package
I am working on creating an R package for doing fire department analysis and
am trying to create a function that can display emergency incident
densities. The following code sort of does the trick, but I need a display
that shows the number of incidents per square mile. I believe the code
below shows incidents per square unit (in this case, degrees lat/long).
To solve this problem, I believe

Generate reproducible output independently of the build path
(please keep me CCd, I am not subscribed)
Dear R developers,
At the Reproducible Builds project we've been trying to get build tools and packages generate bit-for-bit identical output, even under different build paths. This is beneficial for users because they can more easily compare their builds with others, as well as other reasons.
At the moment about 400 out of 26000 Debian packages are

PropagateEquality in gvn.cpp
However, if you are going to do it, remember the goal is to make the code
simpler and easier, not just pile on to the current mess to catch more
cases :)

unbalanced repeated measurements Anova with mixed effects
Dear R-list members,
I've been struggling with the proper setup for analysing my data. I've
performed a route choice experiment, in which participants had to make a
choice at each junction for the next road. During the experiment they
received traffic information, but also encountered two different
accidents. They also made trips without accidents.
What I'm interested in is to

Can't get 'root preexec' to run
Hai Rowland,
The pam_mkhomedir worked ( by accident ) on for home dir on my print server.
But i cant remember if that was a mounted /home or a local /home.
Worth a try i think .. simple change and test.
Thats why i suggested it.. ;-)

A samba share mounted multiple times cannot be unmounted without root
Hello, recently I've ran into the problem that if a user mounts a share
multiple times, then it cannot be mounted, except by root. Here is the
relevant fstab line:
//sephiroth/E /home/unity/Sephiroth smbfs ro,users,noauto 0 0
A user can mount and unmount the fs fine:
unity@oaklandgardens ~ $ cd ~unity/
unity@oaklandgardens ~ $ mount Sephiroth/
Password:
unity@oaklandgardens ~ $ mount |

Or maybe intentional. Using absolute paths is better than assuming that
libvirt will treat relative paths against the same directory as you
intended; although it would be nicer if libvirt would reject XML with a
relative path up front rather

Path condition propagation
It's going to be really hard to do something sane in the current
infrastructure.
Its possible, but it would also be slow. You would have to go looking at
uses of variables compared in predicates in PropagateEquality and if the
uses appear in a comparison that is dominated by the true or false edge of
the existing predicate, see if it tells you something about the dominated
one.

Path condition propagation
The current gvn equality propagation is not powerful enough to get this
because it doesn't try to infer values in predicates based on other
predicates, so it never realizes a>b -> a !=b in a useful way.
It otherwise would get this
