Does rsync V3 has the feature for logging the files which have not been

Thanks,
Jignesh

using rsync to get filestats
Would it be more efficient to use rsync to get filestats instead of
using the 'find' command? I would like to know how big a directory is
on a filesystem, but this directory has millions of small files. I was
wondering if rsync would be more efficient than find when using "-n"
options.
TIA

Problem with --fil
Hi, I am using below command.
rsync --verbose --log-file-format='%i %f %l %o %b'
--log-file='/tmp/myfile' src/ dest/
Though it is good that all the sync information contents will be redirected
to /tmp/myfile, it would be useful if rsync could print at least below final
statistics on stdout.

rsync hangs during transfer
I am running the following rsync command to synchronize directories
between two servers:
rsync -axvz --delete-after -e ssh /SRCDIR/ blabla at DEST:/DESTDIR
The transfer starts and after a short while it appears to hang after
some files have been transferred. The process establishes connection on
both sides so I did an strace from the remote machine (using the

rsync Windows UNC
Hello,
I try to backup files from a NAS to our backup-server using rsync.
The NAS itself is not able to run rsync.
Therefore I installed rsyncd (cwrsync 2.1.1) on a windowsserver which
has access to the NAS.
I configured the rsyncd like this:
[nspPR53_so2]
path = /172.21.87.9/nspPR53_so/material/doc
read only = true
transfer logging = yes
When connecting with the client I get the error

Rsync and snapshot backups
I'm currently using rsync to backup home directories using this:
rsync -avx --delete --backup --backup-dir=/u1/home.bak /u0/home/
/u1/home >> ${log}
I'm trying to move to snapshot backups using this:
rsync -avx --delete --backup --backup-dir=/u1/home.bak
--link-dest=../home.current /u0/home/ /u1/home_${datetime} >> ${log}
This works except I no longer get deleted source

something about filter rules of rsync
i want rsync to include all the *.dat files(and the *.dat files in the
subdirectory), and exclude all other files. how can i write the filter
rules? i have read the man rsync, but i still got no idea to do it.
for example, the result of find -printf "%y %p\n" is below:
d .
d ./1
d ./1/a
f ./1/a/a.c
f ./1/a/a.d
f ./1/a/a.dat
f ./1/a/b
f ./1/a.c
f ./1/a.d
f ./1/a.dat
f ./1/b

Rsync Auto Resume

rsync terminates with error "connection reset by peer". Is there a way
to keep alive, extend timeout or auto resume transfer? I tried using the

rsyncing files that might change
Hi, I hope I have not been google-incompetant, but I have been unable to
find
an explicit answer a case I am concerned about.
If am rsyncing a file and I have the the following sequence of events happen
in
the same second
1. rsync starts
2. rsync sends some chunk of data to the other end
3 a local process modifies the chunk that has just been sent
I have seen statements that rsync does
