Running Xen 3.0, guest OS does not open a window
Dear Xen community, I have Xen 3.0 installed on RedHat Linux Enterprise RHEL4U2. "xend install" runs fine with no error messages. However, when I start "xm cr guest-vmx.conf" I do not get any new window open for the new guest OS. "xm list" shows that the vmx has started and seems to be working fine (just for testing, when I type "xterm" an X window

RSpec story failing because of routing error on "/"
Greetings! Here''s the problem. When running tests on the restful_authentication plugin, I am getting a routing error on "/". Which I don''t really understand, because the route "/" certainly does exist as I can confirm when I run ./script/server and point my browser at http://localhost:3000/ Here is an example of the error I am getting when I run

--delete-sent-files (AKA --move-files)
Yes, it's time once again to return to the subject of moving files. With the recent changes to the communications code between the receiver and the generator, there is now a non-clogging channel that we can use to signal the sender when a file has been successfully transferred, which allows us delete the original for all transferred files. I have in the past waffled on whether this feature

Suggestions on how to use stub_model with webrat?
Hi all, I am using story runner with webrat, but I am not sure how to incorporate stub_model into my tests. The webrat steps only care about the user interface and have nothing to say about interaction with the database. Following Ben Mabey, I have a line in my story like: "When clicks the Create button" And a step like: When "clicks the $button button" do |button|

Uninstall Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Installed a 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and I'm now trying to "properly" uninstall. I run "uninstaller" and the program shows up in the list of installed programs. In Uninstaller: click on the program description to highlight it and then clicking the Uninstall tab causes the hard drive to wobble about a bit, the program becomes un-highlighted and the uninstaller

What about mounting over nfs instead of the fuse client. Or maybe libgfapi. Is that available for export domains On Fri, Nov 24, 2017 at 3:48 AM Ji?? Is there a way to efficiently read large datasets directly into a matrix byrow? I know data.frame, but for large datasets it doesn't efficiently work, also if I increase the cons memory. R --nsize 1000k --vsize 90M ... > x<-read.table("pendler.luft.txt") Error: cons memory (1000000 cells) exhausted See "help(Memory)" on how to increase the number of cons

[ovirt-users] slow performance with export storage on glusterfs
Hello If you use Gluster as FUSE mount it's always slower than you expect it to be. If you want to get better performance out of your oVirt/Gluster storage, try the following: - create a Linux VM in your oVirt environment, assign 4/8/12 virtual disks (Virtual disks are located on your Gluster storage volume). - Boot/configure the VM, then use LVM to create VG/LV with 4 stripes (lvcreate -i

read error produces null-byte-filled destination file
I've run into a bug in the IO handling when reading a file. Suppose I have a file that lives on an NFS filesystem. That filesystem is NOT being exported with auth=0 permissions. So, if I try to access a file as root, it successfully opens the file, but subsequent reads fail with EACCES. This produces a destination file full of null bytes. I noticed this with 2.5.7, but checked 2.6.2 as

the difference between temp and .temp
Hi everyone - This came up within the last day -- Jim's response to Deepankar is pasted below. There are probably lots of reasons, but what is the advantage to using .temp over, say, temp? I often find myself writing temporary objects -- should I use the . preface? What would be the advantages to doing so? Thanks in advance for what will surely be a collection of illuminating responses.

systemd-sysctl not running on boot
You are correct, I'll refine my problem, By running "systemctl status systemd-sysctl" I also receive the same output, but a simple "cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness" returns the default value, and not the one set by my conf file. But, if I run "/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysctl" the "cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness" does return the correct value. Any idea ? Does

Is the file labeled properly? Anything in audit.log?
