Java parser for R data file?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone written a parser in Java for either the ASCII or binary format
produced by save()? I need to parse a single large 2D array that is
structured like this:
list(
"32609_1" = c(-9549.39231289146, -9574.07159324482, ... ),
"32610_2" = c(-6369.12526971635, -6403.99620977124, ... ),
"32618_2" = c(-2138.29095689061, -2057.9229403233, ... ),

Syncing multiple sub-directories to one directory
Thanks for your help. What you provided didn't work for me because that
still placed things in subdirectories.
I figured it out. This puts it all in the images directory.
find /my/phone/root/dir/ \( -path '*Duo*' -o -path '*DCIM*' -o -path
'*Pictures*' -o -path '*Camera*' -o -path "*Download*" -o -path
"*textgram*" -o -path

Syncing multiple sub-directories to one directory
Except some of those dir have subdir such as WhatsApp and DCIM has multiple
subdirs too. I would rather do it all with rsync though.

Syncing multiple sub-directories to one directory
I would like to sync many subdirectories into one directory with no
subdirectories. I've tried
rsync -rv --progress --include '*.jp*g' --include '*.png' --include '*.dng'
--include '*.raw' --include '*.nef' --include 'Duo' --include 'DCIM'
--include 'WhatsApp' --exclude '*' /my/phone/root/dir/

Syncing multiple sub-directories to one directory
My deepest apologies. I had an inotify running that anytime something was
added to that directory it would run a script that was doing my original
sync of pulling in all the directories and images. After turning that off,
I was able to see your line work as you said it should. Thank you very
much and again, I apologize for mistakenly stating the code you provided
didn't work.

Samba DC sync issues - help
Hai,
Reboot both servers first, DC1 and wait until its fully up, then reboot DC2, and run the replicate again but now like this :
samba-tool drs replicate dc_WITH_FSMO_ROLES dc_TO_SYNC_TO DC=win,DC=office
report if this worked.
And check with this one, you can run it on any samba DC.
https://secure.bazuin.nl/scripts/samba-check-db-repl.sh

Solving CVE-2008-4870
Hi,
we're trying to solve CVE-2008-4870 = rhbz#436287 = dovecot.conf is
world readable - possible password exposure.
This problem seems to be little more complicated than we thought.
dovecot.conf can contain passphrase for ssl key, which is available for
everyone since dovecot.conf has world readable permissions.
(In CVE's description is note that it RHEL's/Fedora's problem,

Need help with file corruption issue
Hi all,
I've run into an issue and am wondering if folks can give some advice
on how to resolve it.
Basically Samba appears to be getting confused, providing some other
file's contents.
Initially I saw this on a Windows host that has mounted a share from
CentOs, but I've been able to repro it on the CentOs host using a
self-mount.
Here's my test script:
#!/usr/bin/perl

question about Samba share in HTTP root dir [repost]
Hiya,
i have had a HTTP directory tree shared out via SMB on my HTTP
development server for a few years with no trouble. recently however
various files have started becoming read-only as far as my Win2k machine
is concerned.
upon ssh-ing into the tree in question i find all the
permissions are fairly open and i cannot see why i should have any
problem at all. i was wondering if this might have

Hi out there,
since i updated to Samba 2.2.5 on Solaris 8 i've got a Problem with it.
The Samba-Server acts as PDC and it seems to work mostly well.
There is a Share for a Palm-User where i installed the Palmdesktop.
In order that the Sekretaty can also look to his Calender i wrote a small
Batchfile.
Every Time the User starts the Palm desktop the Batchfile makes a copy of the

And now onto the palm pilot with Kpilot
I've looked up the Kpilot manual, and I think I have an okay idea of
what's going on with it.
I'm trying to get it's detection feature to find my Palm Pilot. CentOS
does seem to be able to recognize it, because if I run lsusb when
running a hot sync, I get the following:
[root at localhost dev]# lsusb

Palm Pilot, USB, pppd and udev
I've a line like this that creates /dev/pilot link in my local udev rules:
BUS="usb", SYSFS{product}="Palm Handheld*", KERNEL="ttyUSB*[13579]",
SYMLINK="pilot"
And it seems to work fine for doing normal sync operation to Gnome Palm applet
(well, not sure about that KERNEL parameter, however ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 look
exactly the same, no other way to

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palmdevice application
Thanks a lot for your reply, Jean.

Your reply essentially means that there aren't any commercial speex plug-ins for Palm available, so the only option I do have is to write one. Actually I was thinking of that

The current state of palm syncing on Linux?
I've been searching around on the internet trying to find out about
conduits and options for syncing programs with my Palm Pilot device.
Google searches turn up a lot of discussion on the matter over a two or
three year period, everything from people talking about doing it or how
it should be done or how much they want it done.
But I can't actually determine what, if any, tangible
