Hi Rsync Support, Recently we encountered issue on our prod environment because the rsync seems hanging, it took time building the list.Previously the rsync process was working before 10:24am not until 10:25am. SIGUSR1 or SIGINT error
Howdy, We occassionally get the following error when running our nightly backups: rsync error: received SIGUSR1 or SIGINT (code 20) at rsync.c(229) This happens more on one or two machines than on any of the others. We've looked high and low to see if we're mistakenly sending these signals, but nothing is that we can find. Does anyone know what this might be from? Is it the server

rsync problem behind a router
I have used rsync on many systems, and never had a problem. I am stumped on what to do with this. I have a box behind a LinkSys router and I can not "push" or "pull" data to or from it from anywhere. When I try, it logs into the remote server, gets the file list and just stops. The remote server shows a process running until I control-c out of it.when I do that, I get: rsync

Spinning mongrels and SIGUSR1
First off: Our clusters are LVS balanced Apache 2.2.3 + mod_proxy_balancer + gem mongrel 0.3.13.3 / mongrel_cluster 0.2 + memcached / gem memcache_client + gem rails 1.1.6 on debian boxen, and a pgcluster backend. On 2 of our deployed clusters, we are getting the "spinning mongrel" problem. As the clusters are very low volume right now, it takes days to collect a spinner, making it

Handling of SIGUSR1 in dispatch.fcgi
The latest version of dispatch.fcgi in the trunk has the following code snippet: trap("USR1") do # Go to exit as soon as possible. end One of the issues I encountered while debugging fcgi under windows is that SIGUSR1 is not supported in the native Windows version of Ruby (though it is in cygwin). Currently, I have it commented out to allow dispatch.fcgi to run without blowing up.

Can't Figure out why rsync job stops
I connecting to two offsite over servers, that are connected over dedicated T1 lines. I'm using the same script on both servers. One runs fine, but the other starts, gets the file list and processes a few folders. Then it will hang for about 5 minutes before sptting out the following errors: receiving file list ... 16756 files to consider dslagel/ dslagel/DRIVERS/ dslagel/DRIVERS/ATP_PKG/

rsync stuck after correctly sending the file
Hi all, I'm using rsync to replicate a cvs repository, it is working quite good except that I occassionnaly see rsync stucked after having transfered a file, it is always on a big ,v file containing multiple version of big binary file. I haven't gathered the netstat information on the frozen process (it is not easy to reproduce the problem), but I have the strace information : - the

rsync hangs in read_int (generator.c line 498)
Hello I'm having a heck of a time rsync'ing (is that the proper conjugation? :)) between two Cygwin machines. I have three directory trees that are "exposed" via rsynch. Two of the three have a very shallow structure, and they work fine. The third, however, has a fairly deep structure and many more files than the other two, and rsync'ing this directory causes a hang on

OpenSSH, Cygwin, eXceed, and SIGINT
All, When logging into an HP-UX 10.2 system from a Windows NT machine running Cygwin and openssh 2.9p2, control-c sends a sigint to the ssh client on the NT system, thus killing the ssh process. Interestingly enough, this behavior is only observed when using X11 forwarding. I can eliminate the behavior by changing clientloop.c to ignore SIGINT (signal(SIGINT, SIG_IGN) ) but then I'm bak to

Background R session on Unix and SIGINT
Hi All, I realize that this is not a really nice reprex, but anyone has an idea why a background R session would "remember" an interrupt (SIGINT) on Unix? rs <- callr::r_session$new() rs$interrupt() # just sends a SIGINT #> [1] TRUE rs$run(function() 1+1) #> Error: interrupt rs$run(function() 1+1) #> [1] 2 It seems that the main loop somehow stores the SIGINT it

[R] Fwd: Help: malloc/free deadlock in unsafe signal handler 'Rf_onsigusr1'
Redirecting to R-devel I don't recall how long the SUGUSR handlers have been in R -- you can check in svn if you like -- it's been a long time. The intention is for them to serve as an emergency break -- a chance of possibly saving the workspace when you get stuck in an infinite loop in C/Fortran code that cant be interrupted by a SIGINT. This can't be accomplished without doing
