dovecot - Jan 2009 - dovecot and signal SIGUSR1

i want to know how is defined signal "SIGUSR1" for dovecot.

i want to know what dovecot do when the comand kill was executed in
"Rotating logs" in  http://wiki.dovecot.org/Logging..
