Referencing variable names rather than column numbers
I apologize for how basic a question this is. I am a Stata user who
has begun using R, and the syntax differences still trip me up. The
most basic questions, involving as they do general terms, can be the
hardest to find solutions for through search.
Assume for the moment that I have a dataset that contains seven
variables: Pollution, Temp, Industry, Population, Wind, Rain and

Rsync killed my server
I have the following as a line in a script kicked off from cron:
sudo rsync -e ssh -avz /Times_QPS/ 192.168.22.72:/Times_QPS/ --eahfs
It logs the output to a log file, however rsync caused the log file to go to an 80gb file and fill up my disk because it threw a mental when a file it went to sync was no longer there!
Is there some way to get the sync to ignore errors?

files not moved immediately to final destination from temp location after rsync returns with success
Hi,
I am using rsync version 3.0.7 on an arm linux based embedded device. The
device pulls data periodically from a rsync server and stores the files on
an SD card.
The partial, temp and final rsync destinations all reside on the SD card.
I came across an issue where it seems that the rsync call returned with a
success but the files that it pulled are not
moved immediately to its final

TFTP Server
G'Day All,
Can anyone give me some direction in setting up the TFTP server on my
RadHat ES3 box?
I did quite a bit of reading, but I think I am more unsure now than
before. I found the information nebulous. TFTP is already installed. I
am trying to determine where the root directory for the tftp services is
located so I can copy the CISCO 7960 firmware files onto it.
Thanks.... Ferg

Win32 Gem Dependencies
Yeah I just noticed that the latest mongrel gem for win32 doesn''t have
the proper dependency for ''daemons''. This of course causes the require
to fail. Any chance at getting this fixed for future gems? :)
Thanks

list of files at the rsync destination
What is the best way to get the list of filenames being transferred to the destination -- from the destination side? We are not running in daemon mode. We'd like to run a command on each file on the destination after the file has completed rsync-ing.
Thanks

bug: rsync always writes temp-files to current directory since cvs-20030326
Hi,
The documentation states that rsync writes temp-files to the recieving
directory, unless --temp-dir is specified. This is not true since
cvs-20030326, when receiver.c was modified.
You will get this error when you don't have write access to the
current directory:
mkstemp .somefile.UQVWQd failed: Permission denied
