Mixed Samba 3 & 4 Versions - Issue joining Samba 3 domain with a Samba 4 client
Hello, everybody.
I'm trying to use a Debian 8.5.0 client machine (with hostname
PCSCD850, 10.100.109.5 is its IP) joining an old Samba 3.6.23 tdbsam
based PDC (hostname DSSC01, SCDOM is the NetBIOS domain name, 10.200.0.5

The machine was added to the PDC using useradd (unix) and smbpasswd
-a -m (samba). Because there is a group used for the machines

levelplot problems !!!
Dear R users,
I have changed my R version to the new 1.8.1 and some problems appears when
using the previous levelplot code.
This is a simple example:
a <-1:10
b <-11:20
j <- rnorm(100)
grid<-expand.grid(a = a, b = b)
levelplot(j~a*b, grid)
Normaly in my previous vs this was suffice to produce the levelplot.
Now, an empty R graphics device appears with the following error

rsync 2.5.6, No buffer space available error...
I have seen this error in many postings, but the solutions seem not to
apply in this case. This error happens during a small file transfer
(gif image) and after 75% of a 165G rsync job (the building file list
portion is complete.) Most solutions I saw were related to not having
enough RAM or running out of disk space. Check out the machine specs
below the error.

writefd_unbuffered failed to write 32768 bytes: phase "unknown"
Hi,
I receive this error when rsyncing. I suspect this is because of network
problems. But the 'Invalid argument' and 'phase unknown' makes it very
unobvious.

rsync client to daemon over ssh tunnel connection issues
Yes this is another connection reset issue but all I am asking is some
pointers on how I can possibly determine what and why this is happening.
Its easy to say its a network issue but the bosses and clients want to know
how to fix this said "network issue."
I have read the rsync issues list. Some of what is suggested we might try
HOWEVER we cannot duplicate the errors that occur and

writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes
Hi All.
On Mac OS10.4, using rsync 3.0, it stops during a transfer.
I mount an SMB share, and then use the line:
sudo rsync -avhi --delete --stats --timeout=360 --progress
--log-file=/Volumes/backup/20080429/rsynclog.txt --exclude="*:*"
/Volumes/RAID_One /Volumes/backup/20080429
There's a few terabytes of data, and it never finishes a complete run.
It can stop at anywhere during

Trying to detect files with funny chars in their name, as I cannot
find them with "find", I use the error (Illegal byte sequence) given
by rsync when the target charset cannot reproduce them.
While doing this I have met this error:
