[Bug 2240] Add last-match/short-circuit processing of include/exclude
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2240 ------- Additional Comments From wayned@samba.org 2005-02-25 10:05 ------- I considered the short-circuit operators (-! and +!) for filter commands, but I am not convinced of their utility. Do you have an example of a real-life situation that they improve? Note also that the suggested syntax for the new operators is now being used to specify

.rsync-/.rsync+ patch and --link-dest example
This is a patch to add an --rsync-exclude option to rsync-2.5.6cvs. File names in .rsync- (or .rsync+) are excluded (or included) from the file lists associated with the current directory and all of its subdirectories. This has advantages over --cvs-exclude for backing up large file systems since the .cvsignore files only apply to the current directory: unless the .cvsignore restrictions apply

include/exclude bug in rsync 2.6.0/2.6.1pre1
As mentioned on the rsync home page, the --files-from=FILE option in rsync version 2.6.0 is a useful option that allows one to "specify a list of files to transfer, and can be much more efficient than a recursive descent using include/exclude statements (if you know in advance what files you want to transfer)". However, --files-from does not help one implement the --rsync-exclude=FILE

[LLVMdev] Disable Short-Circuit Evaluation?
Is there any way to disable short-circuit evaluation of expressions in Clang/LLVM? Let's say I have C code like the following: bool validX = get_group_id(0) > 32; int globalIndexY0 = get_group_id(1)*186 + 6*get_local_id(1) + 0 + 1; bool valid0 = validX && globalIndexY0 >= 4 && globalIndexY0 < 3910; int globalIndexY1 = get_group_id(1)*186 + 6*get_local_id(1) +

[PATCH] update obj->num_comments if short circuit in read_metadata_vorbiscomment_
In function read_metadata_vorbiscomment_ from stream_decoder.c, at various locations where we short circuit the computation, we also set `obj->num_comments` accordingly. For example: https://git.xiph.org/?p=flac.git;a=blob;f=src/libFLAC/stream_decoder.c;h=e0f1b14d30dd548268a88e4341af3f38290816e3;hb=HEAD#l1736

[PATCH] OpenSSH 2.1.1pl3 (portable), readconf.c and strsep(3)
The latest changes (replacing strtok with strsep) in OpenSSH's readconf.c broke many ~/.ssh/config files. Actually those which uses more than one whitespace character to separate keyword and value. For instance my ~/.ssh/config file reads: | BatchMode no | Compression yes | CompressionLevel 3 | FallBackToRsh no | UsePrivilegedPort no | ForwardX11

Exclude sets generated with -C
Hi guys, I recently stumbled across what I think is an rsync bug. The problem was I was trying to rsync from one CVS checkout, to another, and was using rsync -Cavz to do the job. In this CVS module, there happens to be two sub-directories with the names of "core" and "tags" respectively, which were ignored, since these names matched the default CVS ignore list. When rsync

incorrect exclude list with -C
I just received this bug report on Debian's rsync package. I've verified it. The entry from the manpage: -C [...] Finally, any file is ignored if it is in the same directory as a .cvsignore file and matches one of the patterns listed therein. Here the patterns of a .cvsignore file is apparently used to exclude file outside the directory where the .cvsignore file is found. Any

Per-directory .cvsignore too aggressive
I have noticed that the contents of per-directory .cvsignore files apply outside their subtrees when using --cvs-exclude in rsync 2.6.0. In the results below, notice how dir1/.cvsignore is applying to a file in dir2. There is no ~/.cvsignore, and the CVSIGNORE variable is unset. % ls -AFR .: dir1/ dir2/ ./dir1: .cvsignore file1 ./dir2: file2.foo % cat dir1/.cvsignore *.foo % /usr/bin/rsync

Is there a way to short circuit the georeplication process?
We have an application that is storing an insane number of small files. We have run some tests with enabling geo-replication and letting it run but on our smallest data set it takes 10 days and our largest data set will likely take over 100 days. Would there be any way to take a copy of the data brick and convert that into a replicated image and then enable replication from the time of the

include/exclude directory question
I want to send a subset of directories sepcified in "include" arguments to a client, but I am creating all the peer and parent directories as well, although they are empty - here is basically what I'm doing. assuming I have /staging/upgrade/dir1, /staging/upgrade/dir2 and /staging/upgrade/dir3 on the source tree. --include "*/" -include upgrade/dir1/** -include

T100P-E100P circuit board differences
Hi- Perhaps someone with an E100P in hand can answer this: I just received an E100P from Digium (I normally buy quad boards) I noticed that the circuit board says "T100P" on it, and I assume that the T100P and E100P both use the same circuit board. Can someone please confirm that their E100P says "T100P" on the artwork? Thanks Scott Scott M. Stingel Emerging Voice

...is circuit busy message
Hi, I am attempting to make about ten calls simultaneously and intermittently get 'SIP/voipprovider is circuit-busy' followed by 'everyone is busy/congested at this time" I am not sure if this is related to my bandwidth to my voip provider, a configuration issue or something else. Has anyone seen this before and have any suggestions. Thanks in advance. --------------
