Latest Samba Disto for Os390/Unix ?
HI,I would be interested if there is a release of Samba for Os390/Unix later that 1.9. (I have tried downloading the 'samba-latest.tar.gz' file from the mirror site, but as I cannot unzip/untar it,due to not having the 'gzip' program !). Therfore I am not sure how compatible it may or may not be with my Os390/Uss platform. Thanks for any help received in advance. John.

Old SAMBA and WinXP....
Ok, here's a simple question, (I just rejoined this list so apologies if it has been asked a million times before). Our Company runs SAMBA 1.9-18p1 from a USS (Unix System Services) on an IBM Mainframe. I used to have WinNT 4.0, and I could access Files on Windows Explorer through SAMBA with no problems. Now I updated one of my workstations to WinXP Pro., and - no access to the Samba

Samba On The Mainframe
Greetings, This is my first posting. I read that Samba can run on USS OS/390 but are there tips or tricks that can be shared? I am a AIX systems engineer (13mos) with 13 years experience as a MVS systems guy. Our current release of OS/390 is 2.8 . I already found a lot of information about Samba on OS/390 in the download page and I'm trying to make sense of it. But if there is any

issue with trash feature and arbiter volumes
Gluster 3.10.2 I have a replica 3 (2+1) volume and I have just seen both data bricks go down (arbiter stayed up). I had to disable trash feature to get the bricks to start. I had a quick look on bugzilla but did not see anything that looked similar. I just wanted to check that I was not hitting some know issue and/or doing something stupid, before I open a bug. This is from the brick log:

problems with postscript device
Hola! I am producing postscript output from R (windows 98), both using firts the windows devicd and then " copy to postscript", or using the postscript device directly. The problem shows up equally both ways. The function producing the plot is given below. postscript problem (PR#1147)
I reported this earlier, and have got reports that others have the same promlem on UNIX machines, so it is not only a windows problem S I file a bug report. The function (boot.stat) given at the end produces a postscript file, which cannot be included correctly in LaTeX. Specifically, the image in LaTeX (when translated by dvips to postscript) becomes very small, not using the bounding box, and

[ANNOUNCE] netfilter and netfilter-devel lists down
Hi! Due to yet unknown reasons, the mailinglist configuration and archives have been deleted from lists.samba.org. This is very unfortunate, since no none of the two mailinglists is reachable anymore. The netfilter core team feels very sorry about this incident, and we have contacted the samba.org people for resolving this issue. The mailinglists had been scheduled to move to
