Sendmail and deliver LDA exits with EX_TEMPFAIL on overquota
Hi all, I have setup dovecot 1.1.4 and sendmail 8.14.3 with dovecot LDA on linux (RHEL5 on x86_64). I have deliberately set a very low quota (4MB) on a test account, while the actual disk usage is 5MB at the moment, in order to test overquota behaviour.. When I send an email to this account, sendmail accepts the email and tries to deliver it. Deliver fails to save in INBOX and returns an

installing perl-CPAN without perl-local-lib
> Any ideas on how I can get to do the simple task of installing these modules > system wide? There's lots of info on it on the web. For the definitive answers look long the local::lib pages on CPAN - basically there are environment variables you can set to say where things are to be installed. Also, I think when you first run CPAN one of the questions it asks is where to install

installing perl-CPAN without perl-local-lib
I'm still working on getting my brand new Centos 7 mail server working and I'm having problems with Perl. Most of the modules are available as RPM's which was straight forward. However, MIME::Parser, Net::SCP and Net::SSH aren't. In order to get these working I installed the perl-CPAN rpm and then installed the modules above. Doing this, installed perl-local-lib.noarch as a

3.0.0pre2: non-recursive remote listing breakage
3.0.0pre2: non-recursive remote listing breakage Looks like pre1's fix broke something else. I noticed this when listing module/directory contents on servers known to be running versions 2.5.7 & 2.6.3. Not having (full) access to them, I replicated the errors using 2 machines on my home lan. # the machines lithium.elements.lan: the client. rsync 3.0.0pre2 for all tests.

non-recursive remote listing breakage in 3.0.0pre1
It would appear something snuck in that breaks non-recursive remote listings when talking to a non-3.0.0pre1 version of rsync. The symptom itself is simple enough to see; rather than displaying member directories/regular files/symlinks/etc as one would expect, only non-directories (with the exception of '.') are listed. Other tidbits.. some obvious, some maybe not: - not limited to just

[Bug 2216] remote dies, local hangs when disk full
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2216 ------- Additional Comments From baldvin@angel.elte.hu 2005-01-06 10:33 ------- I tried the cvs version: it works OK. However, 2.6.3 reproducably hangs. In the NEWS: - Fixed a potential hang when verbosity is high, the client side is the sender, and the file-list is large. OK, maybe this is it. I checked cvs log, and cvs

The weirdest yp directory listing problem
Hey all, I'm new to this list! I have a very strange problem that just started yesterday when I purchased some extra bandwidth from mediacast1.com. I was running my own icecast server for over a month, and I never had any problems. However, when I signed up with mediacast1, my yp directory listings are now translating all '.' characters into '-' characters! This means that

Need help to rsynch the directory structure only excluding the files from remote to local.
Hi Tim, I tried using the rsync like how you specified in your example and it worked fine. But when I tried it between my UNIX box and a remote server the command would just not complete and give any output whatsoever. This is how I did it: rsync -av --include '*/' --exclude '*' tashaikh@remotebox:/dw/etl/home/ prod/log/ /export/home/tashaikh/auto/log In the above I need to copy

Win 98
I am using samba-1.9.16p2-2 on Linux. Have used it for about 2 years with no problems. None. I have several Win95 units that access it. I loaded Win98 on one of the units and now I can browse the directories but I cannot enter any directory that requires a password. Win98 reports that the password is incorrect. I might add that Win98 also gets stuck in one of Microsofts loops in that since it

can't delete older file/directory links on another local partition after `snapshot' type backup script
Thanks for looking at this, and developing rsync. Really useful program that I rely on. Bit of a newbie but I couldn't find anything on this in these archives. Hopefully it's a really stupid question! I'm trying to backup using cp -al and then rsync -auR --delete backup idea basically as per http://www.mikerubel.org/computers/rsync_snapshots/#Incremental. I have a separate

connection unexpectedly closed error
Hi everyone, Previously I was using RSYNC 2.5.7 on RedHat 8.0 to mirror CPAN (http://www.cpan.org/) and LDP (http://www.tldp.org/) and everything was working fine. After upgrading to Fedora Core 2 and using RSYNC 2.6.x , I kept on getting the following errors: # rsync -av --stats --delete --force ftp.funet.fi::CPAN rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (9382362 bytes received so far)

Bug?
Hello, I noticed with different MUA (at least Thunberdird and OutlookExpress) endmost characters beeing sometimes cut-off my mails, so I assume dovecot is affected in this. Is this a known bug? Is it mayby already fixed? dovecot-0.99.10.6 on FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE #1: Fri Mar 12 20:05:38 CET 2004 root at MONSTER.tektoform.lan:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/SERVER A --

CPAN not working, or is it?
(I've just tried this on a second C7 box, literally clean install, only did it on Friday, with the same results) I'm replacing a dead F19 box with a new C7 one and I'm trying to get my Perl install completed. Ultimately, I need to get Selenium::Remote::Driver working, but I'm struggling before that. I started off as always by using RPM's for everything I possibly can. I

par(las = 1) not possible in polymap(), library(splancs)?
Dear all, I want my PhD thesis which I hand in tomorrow to look even nicer: Does polymap in the splancs library not allow horizontal plotting of y-labels? I have tried polymap(studyarea, xlab = "x (m)", ylab = "y (m)", las = 1) but it doesn't change the labels? Mayby some function in library(spatstat) support las? Thanks! Sincerely, Tord
