rsync 2.6.0 (final) released
I've released version 2.6.0 of rsync. Two important things to note
in the new release:
1. The default remote shell is now "ssh" unless you tell
the configure you want to use something else.
2. Some bug fixes in the include/exclude code, while making
things work properly, have resulted in some user-visible
changes for certain wildcard strings. Read the

testing rsync 2.6.3pre1
I announced the release of 2.6.3pre1 on the rsync-announce mailing list
back on the 12th. I was thinking at the time that this email would get
seen by those on the regular rsync list, but I forgot that this is not
how the rsync lists are setup. For those that missed it, here is the
text of the announcement:

Rsync 2.6.3pre2 released
I have released rsync 2.6.3pre2 -- the second (and final) pre-release
version of 2.6.3. Please help out with the testing so that the code
gets a good workout before 2.6.3 is released. (Note that this version
will not be in testing for as long as 2.6.3pre1 was -- I'd like to get
it released in a week or two, if possible.)

rsync giving directory by name, instead of contents
Hi all!
I've read the manual and google'ed aplenty, but sadly can't figure out
this particular issue. Perhaps someone can thwack me with the correct
cluestick?
I have a number of directories listed under one path in an rsyncd module.
I'd like to rsync the contents of some of the directories. Here's
essentially what the source filesystem looks like:
/home
/home/user1
