I am trying to write a function for visualizing ordinal model results.
The function works fine with some values, but then I get "Error:
subscript out of bounds" even there the index should be pointing a legal
item. Code is below as well as the example of failure:
plotProb <- function(pre.mat, parts, split, titles, xlab="") {

Annoyment in the install.sh script
Hi,
I noticed something annoying in the install.sh script about manpages
installation :
first time you run it, it turns all .5 and .8 files into .5.gz and
.8.gz files, then copy them at the right place.
After the first run of install.sh script, ther is no more .5 and .8
files in the manpages directory.
But according to the extract of the script below, the second time you
run install.sh

Changing factor to numeric
Dear Users,
I have a variable in my dataset which is of type factor. But it actually
contains numeric entries which like 5.735 4.759 ..... This is because the
data was read from a CSV file into R and this variable contained other
charaters which were not numeric. I have now dropped the records with the
characters which are not numeric for this variable and want to change it to
numeric srotage

rectangles) and a timeseries plot on one figure.
In my R-lagnuage it looks like this (without arguments that are not
usefull for my question):

Introducing a new com32 module : HDT
Since a while, I've been contributing some code to syslinux to improve
the hardware detection.
Most of that code have been revamped from other project like dmidecode
or the linux kernel itself.
The com32 api is really a nice play for developing new features.
All of that work is only available in libraries or sample code.

correction to the previously asked question (about merging factors)
I have two factors l1, l2, and I'd like to merge them.
(Remark: The factors can not be converted to charaters)
Function c() does not give me the result I want:
> l1 = factor(c('aaaa', 'bbbb'))
> l2 = factor(c('ccc', 'dd'))
> lMerge = factor(c(l1, l2))
> lMerge
[1] 1 2 1 2
