Hello, I have been using successfully Dovecot 1.1.x for about a year now. It has been very stable. Now I'm uprading that same system to newer and more powerful hardware and I was wondering whether it is good idea or not to switch to Dovecot 1.2.x series. Could anybody direct me to feature comparision document or explain here main differences betweeen thos two branches? -- Veiko

Voicemail consultation problem
Hello, A user who uses my Asterisk made me part of a worry about listening to his voicemails. He has received 4 voicemails on January 3, respectively at 3H00 pm, 3H36 pm, 3H41 pm and 4H40 pm. He has received notifications by e-mail at these times. On first listen to his messages, at 8.00 pm, Asterisk has announced two new voicemails(15H00 and 15H36). He has erased thos voicemails. At 8.30pm ,

Variable Selection for data reduction and discriminant anlaysis
Hello all, I'm dealing with geochemical analyses of some rocks. If I use the full composition (31 elements or variables), I can get reasonable separation of my 6 sources. Then when I go onto do LDA with the 6 groups, I get excellent separation. I feel like I should be reducing the variables to thos that are providing the most discrimination between the groups as this is important

[RFC PATCH] virtio_ring: Use DMA API if guest memory is encrypted
sev_active() is gone now in linux-next, at least as a global API. And once again this is entirely going in the wrong direction. The only way using the DMA API is going to work at all is if the device is ready for it. So we need a flag on the virtio device, exposed by the hypervisor (or hardware for hw virtio devices) that says: hey, I'm real, don't take a shortcut. And that means on

stability measures for heirarchical clustering
Dear R users, I'm interested in measuring the stability of a heirarchical clustering, of the overall clustering and finding sub clusters (from cutting the heirarchical clustering at different levels) which demonstrate stability. I saw some postings on the R help from a while back about bootstrapping for clustering (using sample and generating a consesus tree with a web based tool CONSENSE)

Extension and phone management best practices??
Hi, I am trying to think of the best way to manage the phone to extension to user relationships in an Asterisk system so I am asking for any input on best practices from thos out there who are running live systems.. the bigger the better... It seems the common practice is to name the config for a phone by its extension number.. So extension 1234 would have its sip.conf entries under [1234]..

Performance and scalability
Hi, My question is. What are your performance experiences compared to languages such as PHP, PERL and ASP? Could you build a site as big as Ebay on rails and have it perform fast enough? I''m afraid that the generalisation in components I see so much users asking for will make the framework too heavy compared to a clean programmed for perfomance PHP application. Probably even

[LLVMdev] Help with Instruction Expansion on Mips
why do you want to "ban" certain instructions? is this for some architectural variant? the compiler is trying to match patterns from the target independent part of the code generator. if you remove instructions, the compiler in many cases will no longer be able to match certain patterns and you will get thos "can not select" messages. [LLVMdev] Help with Instruction Expansion on Mips
Thanks for your reply. We are trying to implement a simple Mips-based CPU with just for teaching purpose, so we delete some instructions which are not commonly used, thus the task won't be too hard for students. I am responsible for modifying the compiler so that the compiler won't emit unsupported instructions. In order to avoid "can not select" error, I am trying to expand

[PATCH] RFC: ACPI / OSI: remove workarounds for hybrid graphics laptops
It's hard to figure out what systems are actually affected and right now I don't see a good way of removing those... But I'd like to see thos getting removed and drivers fixed instead (which happened at least for nouveau). And as mentioned before, I prefer people working on fixing issues instead of spending time to add firmware level workarounds which are hard to know to which

2.6.0 backwards compatibility
Hello all, I saw on the Release notes that 2.6.0 is using protocol version 27 which is different than 2.5.7 and 2.5.6. I did a quick peak through the rest of the release notes and quickly browsed the archives on the list and I didn't see any notes on how well 2.6.0 works with older versions of rsync. At our site, we do have 2.5.7 and 2.5.6 installed. Are there any documented problems when
