Boxplot
Hi, I am new to R and am still trying to get a grip of it. I have data in this format: Run Lab Batch Y 1 1 1 1 608.781 2 2 1 2 569.670 3 3 1 1 689.556 4 4 1 2 747.541 5 5 1 1 618.134 6 6 1 2 612.182 7 7 1 1 680.203 8 8 1 2 607.766 9 9 1 1 726.232 and I want to make a boxplot of the Y values for each

FQDN nodes in LDAP
Hi, I''ve set up puppet to get node definitions from LDAP as per the docs. It''s been working well, but I now want to use fully qualified domain names instead of simple domain-less hostnames for the node name. I replaced the ou=Hosts entries with equivalent ones using FQDNs, restarted the puppetmasterd, and tried a "puppetd --test" from one of the nodes. However, I

A question regarding random effects in 'aov' function
Hi, I am doing an analysis to see if these is tissue specific effects on the gene expression data . Our data were collected from 6 different labs (batch effects). lab 1 has tissue type 1 and tissue type 2, lab 2 has tissue 3, 4,5,6. The other labs has one tissue type each. The 'sample' data is as below:

sparse files on EC volume
Hello I'm running some tests to compare performance between Gluster FUSE mount and formated sparse files (located on the same Gluster FUSE mount). The Gluster volume is EC (same for both tests). I'm seeing HUGE difference and trying to figure out why. Here is an example: GlusterFUSE mount: # cd /mnt/glusterfs # rm -f testfile1 ; dd if=/dev/zero of=testfile1 bs=1G count=1 1+0 records

buffer overflow in recv_exclude_list using rsync under windows?
Hi, First post to the list, so please feel free to set me straight if I'm not following some protocol or other :o) We need to use rsync to send files to a client, being a Windows user, we decided to try both the cwrsync implementation and also a straight cygwin/rsync install. I'm experiencing the following errors: using cygwin implementation: $ sh clientupload.sh

sparse files on EC volume
Hi Xavi At this time I'm using 'plain' bricks with XFS. I'll be moving to LVM cached bricks. There is no RAID for data bricks, but I'll be using hardware RAID10 for SSD cache disks (I can use 'writeback' cache in this case). 'small file performance' is the main reason I'm looking at different options, i.e. using formated sparse files. I spent considerable

looping through a data frame
Hi- I am having trouble with the syntax of looping through the rows and columns of a data frame. I have a table with 17 observations for 84 lines at n=5-10 per line. So the table is ~700x17. I want to pull out the median and stdev for each line and put it in a dataframe with rowname = linename. So I have tried the following.... #read in the table input.table <- read.table(file =

sparse files on EC volume
Have you done any testing with replica 2/3? IIRC my replica 2/3 tests out performed EC on smallfile workloads, it may be worth looking into if you can't get EC up to where you need it to be. -b ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dmitri Chebotarov" <4dimach at gmail.com> > Cc: "gluster-users" <Gluster-users at gluster.org> > Sent: Tuesday,

Inconsistent behavior using 3.1.2 from macOS 10.12.2 to an AFP mount
Hi, I've been attempting to use rsync 3.1.2 to copy files from a macOS 10.12.2 system to an AFP mounted share. The command I'm using is: rsync -avAX -M--fake-super ./testDir ./mnt/testDir/ This works fine and all the extended attributes are copied and readable. I then try to use rsync to copy these files back with: rsync -avAX --fake-super -M--super ./mnt/testDir/ ./testDir2/ This

routes.rb question.
I have a simple program that read all HTML files from a directory and returns parts of the content and the file names which are HREFs to those file. I build the HREF string dynamicaly as PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT + "file_name". My PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT = http://127.0.0.1:3000/docman/public/docs. So, the final link that I am interested in might look like this:

Should I worry about the "vanished files" warning?
Hi I would like to ask, when the "vanished files" warning is a sign that something bad is happening somewhere. I know that the `rsync-no-vanished` script can silence the warning, but I am wondering whether this is a sane thing to do. My guess based on https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3653#c26 and https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10356 is that it's fine, but

rsync fails when syncing empty directories
I have a script which copies files from remote server to local filesystem and processes them locally. Files on remote server are cleaned periodically so that every once in a while the remote directory is empty just after old files are removed. If I run my script it fails with error mentioned below. The ugly workaround I use is to 'touch foo' on remote server so that there's *anything*

rsync with delete option creates and deletes dot files
All, I have an rsync based backup process which uses rsyncd on the source, to backup to a directory on the client. I have rsync version 3.1.2 on the client and 2.6.8 on the source host (daemon). The rysnc command I use is; /usr/bin/rsync -aHzS --partial --numeric-ids --delete --timeout=3600 \ --contimeout=180 \ --exclude-from=/path/to/excludelist \

Poor performance on NFS-exported ZFS volumes
I''m seeing some pretty pitiful performance using ZFS on a NFS server, with a ZFS volume exported (only with rw=host.foo.com,root=host.foo.com opts) and mounted on a Linux host running kernel 2.4.31. This linux kernel I''m working with is limited in that I can only do NFSv2 mounts... irregardless of that aspect, I''m sure something''s amiss. I mounted the zfs-based
