change destination on digit
Is there an easy way to setup diaplan so when someone pushes a digit such as
* during a call, they will be transferred to another destination.
For example, a caller is hearing ringing while calling a UA, but instead of
waiting for the UA to pick up, they can push * and go directly to that UA's
voicemail.

Ext3 webpage
Hi
I was just wondering if there is a homepage for ext3? The one listed on
freshmeat (http://freshmeat.net/redir/ext3/2491/url_homepage/) doesn't
seem to have been updated recently.
Thanks,

Asterisk, NAT, and RTP?
Hello
I think I finally understood the issue/solution, but I'd like to make
sure I'm correct:
- In Diana Cionoiu's famous article on Freshmeat
(http://freshmeat.net/articles/nat-traversal-for-the-sip-protocol),
regardless of whether SIP end-points use a public IP or are behind a
NAT, RTP packets flow directly between the two SIP end-points because
the SIP server only acts... as an

rsync: always modify atime of all destination files
Hi Everyone,
The following feature request was received by a Debian user; could you
comment on it? I think this seems reasonable, but perhaps should be
enabled only conditionally (as if the argument parser isn't stressed
enough).
Thanks,
Justin

Announcements
You can now get announcements of new Xapian releases and other bite-sized
Xapian news via microblog. Just follow @xapian:
http://identi.ca/xapian
http://twitter.com/xapian
The identi.ca feed is the preferred one as identi.ca is Free Software and
Open Data - see http://identi.ca/doc/faq for details. Also the twitter
feed is just gatewayed from identi.ca, so if the gateway goes down you may

Boot Scriptor, companion to Isolinux.
Hello everyone,
I'd like to introduce a program I've made called Boot Scriptor. To
quote the website,
"Boot Scriptor is a program that allows a high degree of interactivity
when booting from a CD-ROM drive. It provides a set of commands designed
to enable users to boot a system in a number of ways, as well as provide
interactive menus to choose boot options from.

Support for tags in speex files?
Dear speex developers,
Would it be possible to have tags in speex files?
I have a good amount of spoken audio (currently in MP3 format) and I
would like to convert it to speex, since it seems to be the best choice
for voice recordings.
Unfortunately, without tags, it is quite hard to identify the speeches.
Ideally, I would love if tag support were included into easytag, so that
I can manipulate

I was just curious if anyone knew if any good backup scripts...I found one the other day on freshmeat called
ibackup which does a great number of things, but I just wanted an idea of what was being used these days.

Hi all,
Hey I'm trying to do some web cam stuff, and I found this link:

I was doing the "rpm -qa | grep v4l" and nothing comes up,
I did "ls path_to_centos/RPMS/* | grep v4l " and nothing comes up,
I did 'yum provides "*/libv4l*"' and nothing comes up.
Is the CentOS library for v4l named something

Im trying to download the iproute2 source code from the freshmeat.net.
I''m having problem downloading the latest code. Is this a known issue

Thanks.

Bandwidth management under linux
In my search to control bandwidth on my network I found 2 projects..
1. TC
2. BWM Tools - http://freshmeat.net/projects/bwmtools/
This brings me to 2 questions...
Firstly, can TC control bandwidth in both directions? I read that it
can only do 1 direction, which one I cant remember. Can you monitor
the load on the queues you define? Does TC support IPv6?
Secondly, BWM Tools seems to queue

Inefficient storing of ISO images with compress=lzo
I''ve noticed that:
- with x86-64 Fedora 15 DVD install images:
- du -sh <ROOT VOLUME> was 36 GB
- btrfs df | grep -i data have shown over 40 GB used
- without
- du -sh <ROOT VOLUME> is 34 GB
- btrfs df | grep -i data have shown less then 34 GB used
It seems that iso files are considered compressable while they may not be (and penalty is severe - 3x).

I know that is the proper way. Unfortunately, I'm stuck and am mad at myself
for that.

Compressed destination files
Hello,
I searched the list and found some similar questions, but no answer, so...
I would like to do an incremental backup using rsync where all the files
at the destination end are compressed (bz2). I'm backing up to a usb flash
drive and would like to fit as much as possible on it. I would also like
to avoid rsync'ing to another directory on my hard drive, and then
bzip'ing

[leaf-user] FW: CF Boot media creation
I downloaded DOS6.22 image from putergeek.com. Used fdisk from that floppy
and format from that floppy. Still no luck.
If I execute fdisk under leaf (monkeynoodle.org) as fdisk/dev/hdc, and give
p for print partition table, I get the following:
Disk /dev/hdc: 16 heads, 32 sectors, 123 cylinders.
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 bytes
