Mongrel Randomly getting TERM
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Every 12-24 hours *one of* my mongrel processes gets a TERM signal and quits. There is all I get in my mongrel log.. ** Mongrel available at 0.0.0.0:8003 ** TERM signal received. And my rails-log is silent too. No request starting. Just the end of a successful request and then nothingness. The other processes are doing just fine and stay up for good.

When I call into my system I have it set to play a bunch of different sound files (I'm doing testing right now), but when it connects there is just nothingness for about the time the sound file should take to play. A soundcard is installed on my system and working properly. Last night I would sometimes get "Sound: Record Overrun" messages when I would close asterisk down or

Here is the error message I get when I run help: > help() Error in gsub(pattern, replacement, x, ignore.case, extended) : POSIX regular expressions not available I looked through the R-help archives and I found a few tips concerning the problem. I tried them

scaffold not working like i hoped......

network query
Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, so please forgive me if it''s not. I have read most of the documentation regarding shorewall, and found it fairly easy to understand. I am in the process of buying a new house, where I will have my own computer room and a new ISP. I would like to use 1 to 1 NAT on the PC''s. I will hopefully be setting my my network as follows:

R-beta: Post-hoc tests for R??
Hi- Is anyone working on multiple comparisons of means or post-hoc tests (ie: Tukey, Bonferroni) for R? I saw in the winter 98' archives of this mailing list that these tests had not been implemented yet, I was just wondering if I could look foward to having them. ;-) I also looked through the contributed packages and didn't see anything that offered such tests. I guess I could check for

PostgreSQL user database
Hi, I am using postgresql for my password and user databases. The problem is, that the information needed in the user database is held in more than one table. But it seems to me that dovecot expects to get all the information for mailbox, uid, gid and home in _one_ query. Is there a way to get around this? Maybe even getting some of this information by another way than pgsql (this is more a

Libvirt, virtmanager & Windows 7 installation partition
I need to use an existing windows 7 installation in a virtual machine form a libvirt host running Ubuntu 12.10. Windows 7 installs on two partitions. There a 100MB boot partitiona and then the main partition for the installation. If I boot the laptop (which dual boots), I can select Windows 7 and boot it just fine, or alternative Ubuntu. If I select /dev/sda1 in the virtmanager as the source

Confusion regarding rsync vs. rsyncx
We currently do backup using rsync amongst Linux and Solaris machines. Modulo an ACL issue that we had to patch, this is working extremely well. But I want to add our OSX machines to the mix. This is, unfortunately, leaving me confused about rsyncx. I can do the normal thing from OSX using rsync. But the page for rsyncx says - cryptically, in my ignorant opinion - that rsyncx adds support for

rsyncX hangs on Mac OS X
I am attempting to backup the Users directory on my desktop running OS X 10.3.6. I am backing up to Jaguar Server 10.2.8. I am using RsyncX version 2.1 on both systems. RsyncX Server is set up to run on both systems however in this instance the Rsync client is my desktop and server is Panther Server. When I kick off an RsyncX session, RsyncX will run for a while, then stop part of the way

debugging T.38 issues
Hello list, We're currently facing some issues concerning T.38 gateway faxing. This is a device used almost exclusively for receiving faxes. Calls are incoming to asterisk on a SIP trunk (sangoma netborder) using G711A. Gateway mode is activated in the asterisk dialplan towards a Cisco SPA 112 running firmware 1.3.5. We are using asterisk 1.8.13.0 with the T.38 gateway patch applied (I know I

permissions bug w/ --backup-dir or --backup option?
Running rsync 2.4.7pre1, using the --backup-dir option, I just realized today that file ownerships and permissions of backed up files are not preserved. In other words, if rsync moves an obsolete file to the backup dir, it's ownership seems to revert to root:root, and permissions change, as well. We are also using the -a (archive) option, by the way, which should mean "preserve

Netapp like snapshots using Centos 5/6 direct attached storage
Hello, I'm researching the best method of providing about 20 users in a production environment the same functionality as they would have on a Netapp NFS share. The O/S I will be using is CentOS 5 or 6 (max flex on which one) and the hardware is a disk array directly (12 SAS disks 7TB un-configured brand new) attached to a HP 580 G 7. I've done some reading on ZFS on Linux ,fuse-ZFS,

Mini-HOWTO: Fixing rsync on Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.x)
