impedence mismatch between openssh 3.4p1 and openssl 0.9.6d on SCO OpenServer 3.2 5.0.6
Hi, I have been trying to build openssh 3.4p1 on SCO Open Server xxx It requires the libcrypto.a library produced by OpenSSL. So, I downloaded and installed OpenSSL 0.9.6d. As part of the configure process for OpenSSH, 'configure' checks for version of libcrypto.a with RAND_add(). RAND_add is defined in rand_lib.c and during the build of OpenSSH, I can see that rand_lib.c is compiled

Error when running configure on xeon with r-1-9-patched
Dear list, I'm having a problem configuring R-1-9-patched on a Intel Xeon machine running Fedora Core 2. I used svn to checkout the source, altered config.site to add some optimisation flags to match the Fedora rpm on CRAN (the flags work fine on two other P3 or P4 machines I've compiled R on). ./configure fails with: <snip> checking for long double... yes checking size of

R on the Zaurus link
Hello All, The link to the binary & installation instructions (tar.gz binary not an ipk I'm afraid) is as follows: http://students.bath.ac.uk/enpsgp/Zaurus/#R It eventually dawned on me that the WORDS_BIGENDIAN define (or lack thereof) was causing the problems (after testing ieee NaN compliance that is). When cross-compiling it's probably fair enough that the configure script

Compiling R as a shared library

vorbis-tools segfault on aix 4.3
Hello, I try to compile and run vorbis-tools on AIX 4.3. I already compiled libao, libogg and libvorbis and installed it into ${HOME}/vorbis/usr (all being rc2). All libraries compiled and installed without complaining, the same goes for vorbis-tools. The system is powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.3.0 with gcc-2.95.2 (no other gnu utils used for building, I suspect this being the cause for the segfaults I

Host based authentication does not seem to be working for us after upgrading to openssh-3.4p1 (we were at openssh-3.1p1) (openssl is at 0.96d). [Bug 354] sshd with privsep doesn't do pam session setup properly
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354 ------- Additional Comments From cjwatson at debian.org 2003-01-03 02:42 ------- Alternatively, perhaps sshd could be configured to setrlimit() everything up to RLIM_INFINITY after forking but before giving up root privileges. It could then rely on pam_limits to set limits back down if the administrator wants that, which would work even with

5.1-R: zero byte core file.
While using 5.1-RELEASE, I find that if my application program seg faults, it produces "programname.core"; but it is 0 bytes. I ran the exact same program on another machine that was running 4.4-RELEASE, and I do get a core file that I can use with gdb. I'd really appreciate if someone could help me resolve this. Additional details: - It is not specific to the application

Unusual bug in glusterfsd
Hi, I'm rather new to this project, having stumbled across it earlier this afternoon, so forgive me if I'm still trying to find my way around. I was in the need of an alternative to NFS that would let me spread the task of sharing my downloaded source code files across a couple of boxes, and GlusterFS looked like a great candidate, having had no luck with Coda or OpenAFS. I also want
