Can not login with key-exchange is chrooted sftp environment
Hi, We need to allow log in based on public key generated using ssh-keygen (rsa key) for SFTP with chroot (internal sftp). I am not able to log in with just key exchange. I can login using password. I am able to log-in with out password for an ssh session unlike sftp session. Is there a way to login with key-exchange only for internal-sftp with chroot? Here is the trace OpenSSH_3.9p1, OpenSSL

shared mailbox subfolder permissions
Hi all, when I create a subfolder in a public mailbox the dovecot-shared file is copied for the newly created subfolder and all mails get the owner, group and permissions from the file. Unfortunately the cur, new and tmp folders only get the permissions from the file but owner and group are set according to the creator. This effectivly makes the folder private to the creator. Is this the

[LLVMdev] [RFC] 3-bit Waymarking
Hi devs, after my intentionally "playful" EuroLLVM presentation (*) I think it would be time to get serious about merging to ToT. But we should probably find out whether an optimized algorithm is desired at all. So I'd solicit comments from the code owners (Use.{h,cpp}) and anybody who is interested. For closer scrutiny, the code is here:

dyn.load(now = FALSE) not actually lazy?
? Wed, 1 Feb 2023 14:16:54 +1100 Michael Milton <ttmigueltt at gmail.com> ?????: > Is this a bug in the `dyn.load` implementation for R? If not, why is > it behaving like this? What should I do about it? On Unix-like systems, dyn.load forwards its arguments to dlopen(). It should be possible to confirm with a debugger that R passes RTLD_NOW to dlopen() when calling dyn.load(now =

help wanted using R in a classroom
Hi everyone! I'm using R 2.0.1 for Mac OS X in a classroom with 40 eMacs running Mac OS X version 10.3.6. These Macs are network based, meaning that the students log in to an XServe G4 where their user accounts and home directories are stored. The problem that I'm having each time a group of students (usually 7 to 10) use R is that the whole system get incredibly slow. The response

dyn.load(now = FALSE) not actually lazy?
On Linux, if I have a .so file that has a dependency on another .so, and I `dyn.load(now=FALSE)` the first one, R seems to try to resolve the symbols immediately, causing the load to fail. For example, I have `libtorch` installed on my HPC. Note that it links to various libs such as `libcudart.so` and `libmkl_intel_lp64.so.2` which aren't currently in my library path: ? ~ ldd

Machine Upgraded & smbd/nmbd won't start
Hi all. Running 2.0.4b on a (now) solaris 2.6 box. Since the upgrade the smbd & nmbd daemons won't start. I tried starting smbd by hand, running it through truss. Here's the last few lines: getuid() = 0 [0] fstat(3, 0xEFFFF858) = 0 write(3, " [", 1) = 1 write(3, " 1 9 9 9 / 0

StorNext CVFS
Morning All! Anyone ever tried exporting a StorNext CVFS filesystem from a Linux box??? I?ve got this Samba server (3.5.6) running on CentOS 5.4 and it?s working fine, exporting ext3, nfs and an IBM GPFS filesystem just fine. So I know Samba is good an my configuration is working. I tried to add the exportation of a StorNext CVFS volume and that doesn?t work. All the other volumes still work

darkice connection error
Wanted to give a quick update. The problem still exists but I may have isolated the problem a bit. I tried to stream to the icecast server using both liveice and holyshout. Neither could connect. I also had a friend (thx vanguardist) attempt to stream remotely to my server. He received a connection error as well. It would appear to me (in my AMATEUR opinion) that the icecast server is not

xServes are dead ;-( / SAN Question
Hi ! As some of you might know, Apple has discontinued it's xServes server as of january 31st 2011. We have a server rack with 12 xserves ranging from dual G5's to dual quand-core xeon lastest generation, 3 xserve-raid and one activeraid 16 TB disk enclosure. We also use xSan to access a shared file system among the servers. Services are run from this shared filesystem, spreaded

samba 4.x slow ...
Hi, we are running samba 4.4 on two machines as file servers. Both are running a GFS (stornext). The storage is attached using 8G HBA. You can get up to 800MB/s local speed. We are exporting the shares using 2x1GB and 2x10G. However the clients are only getting 40-50MB/s. With samba3 I think we had up to 80-90MB/s. Using a 100MB/s link for the client we see 12-13MB/s (wire speed). Using

samba backup software
I'm curious to what people are using for backing up their samba servers. Here's are some specs to consider: - 1TB (yes, that's terabyte) of data - multiple servers backup to one tape drive connected to a server (preferably a linux system) - using an autoloader (in this case, an HP 1/9 LTO system) - need to be able to backup daily changes and/or changes since last full backup

connection speeds between nodes
Hi All, I've been asked to setup a 3d renderfarm at our office , at the start it will contain about 8 nodes but it should be build at growth. now the setup i had in mind is as following: All the data is already stored on a StorNext SAN filesystem (quantum ) this should be mounted on a centos server trough fiber optics , which in its turn shares the FS over NFS to all the rendernodes

Performance tweaking for lots of files
Hullo, I'm looking for performance-tweaking of our samba server (linux, RHES4-based). Looking around on the internet I found plenty of things that stated 'the usual' things (buffer-sizes, nodelay, logging to a minimum, etc), but nothing that actually seems to work. We usually have directory structures with many thousands (up to 100k or more) of relatively small files (around 10MB

Encoding in the bottle...
I've been fiddling with Wine for a while now trying to get various applications that use Chinese text to display correctly, despite my best efforts and copious googling I cannot fix it. For example I try to install the QQ application and all the text is gibberish. Is there anyway to change the locale/encoding setting of Wine? I know in Windows one must tell it to use Chinese encoding.

RE: Largish filesystems [was Re: XFS install issue]
To start I wish to that you for the swift response on this issue. I do not think that I would get such a quick response from a proprietary (closed-source) company. Open Source :-). To respond to one the comments about large file systems ?recommend you split it in several smaller (2-4TB) filesystems ? This is not feasible in many situations. In some situations 2-4TB is not even a reasonable

Samba reporting only ~4G on a much larger filesystem
I tried this on the IRC channel and got not response... I have a 2.2TB filesystem. The filesystem itself is a stornext (Quantum) filesystem, which in the /etc/fstab is type cvfs. When a client mounts the samba share, it only reports ~4GB (3.9 or 3.7 GB) total space. We have a third party app, which will/can not be updated which checks the disk space available and fails if it's not enough.

samba 4.x slow ...
Hello, is your scenario possibly using Windows SMB2 clients and a large/huge number of small files per directory? If so, please have a look here and see whether my issue might apply for you as well: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2017-October/123611.html Hope this helps & best regards Andreas Am 02.11.2017 um 14:05 schrieb Dr. Peer-Joachim Koch via samba: > Hi, >
