The mysterious e1071
Hi, I'm trying to use the svm function in R, but I can't find the e1071 package. When I type library(e1071), I get the error message that the package doesn't exist. I've searched all over the CRAN website, but I can't find anything. Did it change names? Thanks for your help, Chelsea

forwarding all calls to cells
Hello everybody, A client wants to install a FreePBX infrastructure, but have all calls forward to their cell phones rather than buying VoIP phones. They would be doing SIP trunks over a Comcast business line. Probably maximum 6 simultaneous calls. Any gotchas we should warn them about? Thanks! noam Noam Birnbaum El Presidente http://www.desksidemanner.com 415-854-0885 x89 tweet @noamb

estimating nightly diffs
Hey all, Any suggestions on how to estimate how much data rsync would synchronize on average in a given installation? Assume that a full rsync has already run and the only data being updated is just the daily diffs. multiple rsync sessions for one file?
Hey all, A customer is configuring an offsite rsync backup. Their Internet pipe is fairly slow (DSL) but they have some very large files to backup. Their backup window is only after business hours. If one of these large files starts rsyncing at midnight, and the backup window ends before the file is complete (i.e. the rsync process stops), will it complete the rest of that file the

Prediciting sports team scores
I am working on predicitng the scores for a days worth of matches of team sports. I have already collected data for the teams for the season we are concentrating on. I have been fitting poisson models for football games and have worked out what model is best and which predictor variables are most important. We would now like to predict the probability distribution for the scores for each team.

logging into user mailboxes with admin credentials
Hey folks, We are planning a migration away from Dovecot (sorry) to Google Apps and are trying to figure out how to migrate the contents of user mailboxes to the new provider. Normally we would use an IMAP migration tool to log into each user's mailbox on the old and new providers and transfer the data that way. However, there is no central directory service; all accounts are local. We

rsync vs. unison
Hey all, I'm looking into a two-way WAN mirror on two boxes running Mac OS X 10.4. It seems that both rsync (with the -u option) and unison could do this. Any suggestions on how to choose one over the other? Many thanks, noam Noam Birnbaum http://maccentricsolutions.com/ 877.luv.macs x89 ð Apple Certified Technical Coordinator ð Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist --------------

Status of the "bs" Package
The October 2006 R News had an article in which the authors discussed a new package that implemented the Birnbaum-Saunders distribution. However, the package (aptly named "bs") does not appear to be available for installation. Does anyone know the status of this package? Thanks. Tom La Bone [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Acts_As_Ferret only returns results when searching for "*"
Hey, I''m probably just missing something really obvious but I''ve been stuck on this problem for a while now and I''m not getting anywhere. I have installed the acts_as_ferret gem, as well as ferret according to the tutorial on RailsEnvy. My model, controller, and environment.rb files have all been modified as per that turotial. However any attempts to use the

problems with PJSIP install on UBUNTU 14.04
Ok, I reinstalled pkg-config from apt-get and now I think it?s all good. Man, PJSIP has been a chore to get working right on this server and on the last. Though the last server wasn?t near the issue this was. Lol I think what happened was that after initial trouble, I ran the ?install prereq? or something like that and it must have did it?s own install of pjsip that sent me down a duplicate path,

rsync problem behind a router
I have used rsync on many systems, and never had a problem. I am stumped on what to do with this. I have a box behind a LinkSys router and I can not "push" or "pull" data to or from it from anywhere. When I try, it logs into the remote server, gets the file list and just stops. The remote server shows a process running until I control-c out of it.when I do that, I get: rsync

does IceCast & listeners logging
Thanks for your answer Chris. Nevertheless I just can't see the event you're talking about in my access.log file. I mean the time of the end of listening for each user and the amount of bytes transfered ! Maybe because I'm just a beginner in IceCast... Could you give me an example of a log file (just a part) that shows this notification ? For example on my ShoutCast log tells me :

So, AFAIK, they should be identical. But I put some printfs and sleeps around and it wasn't a synchronization issue. My man page says that SIGUSR1 should terminate if there isn't a handler for

I can. I've removed every other compilation flags from clang and even used GCC, with the exact same behaviour. cheers, --renato On 29 July 2014 15:15, Evgeniy Stepanov <eugeni.stepanov at gmail.com> wrote: > OK, we can switch to SIGHUP. repeated measures ANOVA - among group differences
I have data on the proportion of clutches experiencing different fates (e.g., 4 different sources of mortality) for 5 months . I need to test 1) if the overall proportion of these different fates is different over the entire study and 2) to see if there are monthly differences within (and among) fate types. Thus, I am pretty sure this is an RM analysis -( I measure the same quadrats each month).

glusterfs 3.2.1 processes in an endless loop?
Hello, I found a new issue with glusterfs 3.2.1 - im getting a glusterfs process for each mountpoint and they are consuming all of the CPU time. strace won't show a thing - so no system calls are made Mounting the same volumes on another server works fine. Has anyone seen such a thing? Oder any idea, what causes this and how to fix it? The logfiles don't show any information about

Log reopen broken in 2.2.33?
Has re-opening the logfiles broken between 2.2.32 and 2.2.33 releases? Using the same config that I've had for the past 10 or so point releases, /usr/bin/doveadm log reopen works perfectly up until 2.2.32, but with 2.2.33 (and .1 and .2) no new logfiles are created, file descriptors still have the original files open and keep writings to those logs. On an idling test instance, I get: master:

Panic timeout?
First of all, please forgive me is this question has already been covered in these mailing lists; the "Search mailing list" link is dead, and I've only read the most recent monthly archives. I often have a situation where, for one of many possible reasons, the UPS always thinks that its battery is critical. And I'm even fine with a situation when it's an emergency
