[LLVMdev] Compiler Centric Career Opportunities in finance
Hi -- I'm working with a number of finance companies in New York City and Chicago which are looking to develop languages and platforms in order to process extremely large datasets. As such, we are looking for people with experience and / or interest in programming language and compiler design -- hence my posting on the LLVM mailing list. Goldman Sachs most famously developed Slang and

buffer overflow in receive_file_entry
I have rsync 2.6.6 on unix source to a cygwin setup on a Windows 2003 server. Was working well, then I moved a folder down one subdirectory and started getting the following. I assume this means it is having problems with the length of the file name? I have the same problem with long file names using cwRsync. Are there any options other than modifying the file names? backup# ./820.remote-backup

Long file names
I believe this post I found is related to a problem I'm having with long files names...I would like to use cwRsync, does my problem suggest this is still happening and has not been addressed? http://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2005-April/012117.html However, I have long file name issues using rsync 2.6.6 from a BSD server to the default Cygwin rsync 2.6.6. Should I (and how do I) apply

Unhandled stack overflow in 32-bit code
I am running FreeBSD 6.0 with Wine 0.9.11 installed from the ports. Every installer that I have attempted to run has caused a stack overflow. All of the installers are run from an installation cd. I have not been able to get past the installation stage on any program, so I do not know if this is limited to installers or not. Some of the programs I have tried to install are: Warcraft 2 BNE,

rsync 2.5.0 bit length overflow
I'm seeing: bit length overflow code 4 bits 6->7 in the output of rsync 2.5.0 between two Red Hat Linux systems. One is RH 6.1 (kernel 2.2.19-6.2.1, glibc 2.1.3-22), the other is RH 7.2 (kernel 2.4.9-13, glibc 2.2.4-19). Both systems have rsync 2.5.0. On the RH 6.1 box, I run this command: rsync -v --stats -az -e rsh -H --exclude-from FILE /some/dir/. rh72:/some/dir/. Anyone

corruption and errors in dovecot-stable
Hi, We switched from dovecot 0.99.something to 1.0-stable (on FreeBSD 4.10) a few days ago and have been seeing many errors and one corrupted mailbox so far. Almost everyone uses mbox format, and most users primarily use SquirrelMail; I use Apple Mail and Thunderbird, as well as accessing the mailboxes locally with Mutt, and have not noted any visible problems. There have been several of

PAM_WINBIND problem with sambaPwdMustChange
Hi People! I use pam_winbind for authentication in my computer workstation using Debian Lenny 5.0, Stable Version. I configure my user with this option "sambaPwdMustChange: 0", and I logon in GDM without asking to change password. Who knows what can be? I use Samba PDC with Heimdal Kerberos, but, I configure PAM with only pam_winbind for tests... Client versions: ii

Larousse Multilingue: stack overflow in exception handler ?
Hi all, I'm trying to run the Larousse Multilingue Dictionnary pack. I've tried to run it under wine 0.9.17 (from codeweaver), 0.9.25 (from debian testing) 0.9.28 (from debian unstable) and 0.9.29 (from source). My wine setting is functional since I can use an older Larousse dictionnary (Bibliorom), no problem at all for any of the versions above. I downloaded a (legal) version of the

[PATCH v2] Fix: buffer overflow during hvc_alloc().
From: Andrew Melnychenko <andrew at daynix.com> If there is a lot(more then 16) of virtio-console devices or virtio_console module is reloaded - buffers 'vtermnos' and 'cons_ops' are overflowed. In older kernels it overruns spinlock which leads to kernel freezing: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1786239 To reproduce the issue, you can try simple script that

SUCCESS: OpenSSH_6.7p1-snap20150220
Compiled OK, and operating nicely on CentOS 6.6, both 32/64 bit. Really appreciate the UpdateHostkeys feature! One issue I noticed, the screen output gets garbled if the user has been "asked" to "Accept" the new hostkeys. Looks like the screen output is missing the CR's, and only LF's get presented. Pedro, Thanks for the feedback. HPA and all, Since we have confirmation that this patch fixes keeppxe (for the memdisk use case) for at least one other person, could we get it into the next syslinux release? http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2016-June/025216.html -- Adam On Sat, Dec 24, 2016 at 02:09:14PM +0100, Pedro Koschi wrote: > Hello Adam , thanx . [PATCH 1/3] x86: process: Unify 32-bit and 64-bit copy_thread I/O bitmap handling
The 32-bit and 64-bit versions of copy_thread have functionally identical handling for copying the I/O bitmap, modulo differences in error handling. Clean up the error paths in both by moving the copy of the I/O bitmap to the end, to eliminate the need to free it if subsequent copy steps fail; move the resulting identical code to a static inline in a common header.
