tdb_oob len 1111638618 beyond eof at 8192 in secrets.tbd
Hello, I don't know if this is the correct channel to ask questions about samba configuration errors so I apologize if it is not. I recently installed samba 2.2.2 on an IRIX 5.3 machine and everytime I run the command smbpasswd -j <DOMAIN> I receive the error: tdb(/usr/local/samba/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_oob len 1111638618 beyond eof at 8192 Unable to write the machine account

Hello, I'm reposting a previous problem that got off the mailing list. I'm now using samba-2.2.4 but still on an IRIX 5.3 machine. When I preform: smbpasswd -j <DOMAIN> I receive the error: tdb(/usr/local/samba/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_oob len 1111638618 beyond eof at 8192 Unable to write the machine account password for machine <Server NetBIOS name> in domain

Fixed sill in variogram fitting (geoR)
Dear all, I'm trying to fit a variogram model using variofit function in geoR package. There is an option to fix the nugget but is there anyway to force the variogram sill to equal some defined value? I'm working with standardized longitudinal data so the process variance is 1 and I'd like to force the sill of the variogram to reach this value (and prevent it from going

lattice custom axis function -- right side margins
Dear R help list, I have a plot with two different vertical scales that I want to display on either side of the plot. It's quite similar to the Fahrenheit-Centigrade example in the examples section of the documentation for axis.default. The right-side axis is clipped off, though, and I haven't been able to figure out anything with viewport() and clipping or trellis.par.set to fix

cli_pipe: return critical error. Error was Call returned zero byte (EOF), hilfe!
Hi Kurt, I tried to explain my problem to you at Göttingen but it looks like I'm the only one who gets this error. I've just reinstalled my box with SuSE 8.2, kernel 2.4.20-62, samba 2.2.8a, and cups 1.1.18, moved all config files, databases, scripts and jobs to it and it looks like samba has become even better and faster. No one noticed anything wrong except I just can't come to

[cygwin] Fwd: Updated: rsync-2.6.2-3
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Here goes the announcement of the 2.6.2-3 package for cygwin (available from cygwin's setup itself). If you wonder what "2.6.2-3" means, it's basically the third "cygwin package" that uses rsync-2.6.2 sources. This third attempt solves both the august security fix and the textmode bug that 2.6.2-2 had. follows the

RE: 8 channel fxo setup outgoing call problem (cont)
Ok, I just got my 8 channel setup to dial out and back in but here is the new issue. It sill dials in fine with all the channels, but dialing out from inside the asterisk system only works on the 1st channel of my 1st TDM400P card. Now I dont have all 8 PSTN lines going into my asterisk box at this moment, only one line for testing currently, but I should be able to plug that one line into any

strange results with dmvnorm
I am experiencing strange results using dmvnorm. I define a scaled distance matrix from the coordinates bellow and then calculate a covariance matrix using a spherical correlation function. Then with certain combinations of range and sill parameters dmvnorm is returning values greater than 1. Surely the results of dmvnorm should be in the interval 0:1 (or do I just nead a holiday?). 2.6.2 transferring common data
Slackware-9.0/9.1 base. I've come across a problem. A source file of 3.0G and a destination existing image of 5.1G - the destination has a lot of stuff which is to be discarded but does contain all of the data in the source except for about 50M. This should have been a quick transfer, even though I'm doing it over a slow link with a bwlimit=10 - especially with -z for gzipping the delta

Problem installing CentOS 5.0
I decided to replace Suse 10.1 with Centos 5.0 on my file server. Im getting stuck right after I select the keyboard layout. I get the following message on the console: /dev/sdb: "sil" and "pdc" formats discovered ( using pdc)! and it just hangs there. I think sil and pdc are referring to the onboard raid chips that the drive was attached to. This drive was used in

[LLVMdev] Floating-Point Overflow check

Growing beyond unsigned integer for the id field
I am creating an app that will out grow an int(10) unsigned for the id field, ie. 4,294,967,295 records. What are my options, I have looked at the GUID plugin that lets you use a 32 char GUID, but I still want the id''s to be sequential, and (I think) that the overhead of searching a varchar field will be too big for such a large number of records. It does not appear you can use a
