help
Dear Sir/Madam, I got some problem about using R. I am a student, and need to use R a lot. But sometimes when I am working in computer lab, we can not install some particular pacakges by ourselves because of the previliges. Can the folder of Librabry of R, move to, for instance the personal folder, my documents... then we can install any specified package? Best regards,

Problem browsing my unix-client - session setup failed: NT_STATUS _CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO
I installed samba 3.0015. I have a problem when I try to browse my machine from a windows client. In effect I am not able to "open" my unix-client. I checked nmbd and smbd and they are running. If I try from my unix-clinet: smbclient -L my_user -W my_domain -L my_PDC I can see shares. If I try from my unix client: smbclient -L my_user -W my_domain -L my_unix_client I get session setup

adding lines to scatterplot3d
Hi to all, I usually use R for simple 2D graphs so now I cannot solve the following problem (which I suppose very simple too). I'm using scatterplot3d. I want to add dotted lines parallel to the 3 axes, in order to create a sort of cage in the 3D box (so to represent subdomains in my dataspace). I saw that points3d can be used to draw points or lines to the existing plot but actually

3d from file
Dear all, sorry if it's obvious but I wasn't able to find a solution by myself. I have a text file filled with 3 colums representing xyz coodinates (i.e. positions) of an objects. Can I have in R a 3d plot representig my object' s positions? I guess that I can but I don't know how. Any help is much appreciated Thanks a lot -a- Andrea Valle DAMS - Facolt?? di Scienze

scatterplot3d: fractionary xrange
Dear all, I'm plotting this and I need x range = (-2.5, 2.5). require(scatterplot3d) scatterplot3d(1,1,1, pch=19, xlim=c(-2.5, 2.5), zlim=c(0,2), ylim=c(0,3), xaxs="i", yaxs="i") In any case, it seems that in the drawing range for x is (-3,3). I guessed I could have this kind of behaviour for ranges: plot(1,1, pch=19, xlim=c(-2.5, 2.5), ylim=c(0,3),

detecting autocorrelation structure in panel data
Hello, I'm a newby in R. I have created a data.frame holding panel data, with the following columns: "id","time","y", say: periods = 100 numcases = 100 df = data.frame( id = rep(1:numcases,periods), time = rep(1:periods, each = numcases) ) df = transform(df,y=c(rnorm(numcases*periods)+id) I want to check whether "y" is autocorrelated. I came across

If cycle takes to much time...
dear all, thank you for reading. I have a dataset of artists and where and when they had an exhibition. I'd like to create an affiliation network in the form of matrix, telling me which aritist have been in the same at the same time. I manage to do it, but given that I have 96000 observation the program takes 30 months to complete. her what i have done. the data look like this Artist

i need to compute several (hundreds) of regression AR and PP.test for untary roots. is there an easy way to pick the values of interest from the output of these operations? i would like to fill a matrix (in a for cycle) with all the values of coefficients, standard deviations, PP statistics and the relevant critical value for the series i have. thanks in advance L --

Agent-based social simulation and R
Do anyone know anything about the use of R for agent-based social simulation? It should be possible, and would be convenient for the simple reason that there are several nice packages containing useful stuff for SNA (Social Network Analysis). Information about packages, web sites, experienced persons in the field, etc. would be very welcome. Tom

Generating input population for microsimulation
Hi all, I've been struggling with some code and was wondering if you all could help. I am trying to generate a theoretical population of P people who are housed within X different units. Each unit follows the same structure- 10 people per unit, 8 of whom are junior and two of whom are senior. I'd like to create a unit ID and a unique identifier for each person (person ID, PID) in the

How to best manage my dial plans as the continue to grow, and grow, and grow....
Hello List - I've been slowing growing my extensions.conf file and have been wondering how everyone manages their systems. I currently have my main extensions.conf where I reference my sub extensions (for tenants or customers) files using the include statements and define my global variables. Today while watching the asterisk console I noticed a call from a voicemail user bounced into

How to best manage my dial plans as the continueto grow, and grow, and grow....
I don't think "very carefully" was the answer that the original poster was looking for. I would suggest one of the multi-tenant GUIs out there, or map out your call flow in a diagram, convert your diagram into the dialplan, then test, test, test. Make sure to test everything, including invalid extension, #, timeout, etc... Another strategy is to use a GUI on a dev box and then
