Dynamic link library
Hello,
I am currently working on getting rid of libraries dependencies from
nut-scanner. Currently nut-scanner depends on several external libs
(avahi, snmp, neon, usb). This becomes a nightmare in terms of
distribution.
So Arnaud asked me to dynamically link those libraries so we come back
to a viable package.
To do this, I ended up choosing libltdl for a portable implementation
but I have

2.8.0 roadmap
Dear NUT developers and contributors,
time has come to shed more light on 2.8.0 roadmap!
Ubuntu Developer Summit attendance has helped to clarify things.
several of 2.8.0 tasks are detailed here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerOneiricInfraPower
I'm conscious that our development infrastructure (Alioth) is not that
suitable to track roadmaps, "Agile" specs and developments, as we do

Argh!
habits are hard to change.
I've fixed the message again on the server, to satisfy the git format...

NUT 2.6.3-1 Windows package
Hello all,
There is a new Windows package of NUT.
It now contains nut-scanner binary.
Note that there is a known issue with libupsclient.dll with nut-scanner.
The scan of NUT servers using nut-scanner will not work for now.
You can find it at :
http://www.networkupstools.org/source/2.6/NUT-Installer-2.6.3-1.msi
Please send feedback to the list.
Regards,
Fred

I found a way to dynamically switch languages in your rails app -- look at it and give your opinions
step 1) Do what is there in the manual Using Gettext To Translate Your Rails
Application as it is.
Step2)Now create a table in your project database to store your language
names which you are supporting in the project for example "langs"
step 3)populate your table with language names, namely hindi, japanes etc.
step 4) create a scffold for with aLang controller, just so that life is

[LLVMdev] Building on x86-64
I made my first attempt to build on an x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu system.
Is this supposed to work? I get libtools errors (below). The problem seems
to be that it finds a 32-bit libltdl rather than the 64-bit libltdl.
/home/dag> ls /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3.1.0
/usr/lib/libltdl.so.3.1.0
/home/dag> ls /usr/lib64/libltdl.so.3.1.0
/usr/lib64/libltdl.so.3.1.0
Is this a known problem?

RE: [SLE] SuSE 9.3 and Latest Binaries - Library Conflict
Cross-posting scares me, but...
Have you looked at the latest RPMs for SuSE, from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/samba/ ?
They've worked like a charm for me, thus far (revision after revision, a simple rpm -U * seems to work...)

SuSE 9.3 samba binaries FUBAR??
Mates,
I dunno if nobody else is using the samba binaries to put 3.0.20-1 on
SuSE 9.3 -- or -- if I'm just doing something stupid, but there seem to be
library problems. Specifically, we are getting library errors for the *.so.2
libraries, regardless of whether we try via YAST or RPM.

Problems after having crosscompiled for XScale
Dear OpenSSH developers,
I tried porting OpenSSH-4.3p2 to arm-linux (IXP425 Xscale platform)
using openssl-0.9.8b and uClibc. This on the snapgear 3.2.0
distribution. It all compiles without problems, but when i run any
openssh executable it will always show output similar to the following:
# ssh
sh: /usr/bin/ssh: No such file or directory
#
I checked for the libraries, they are all in /lib.

No worries.
