Adding power devices support to Fusion Inventory
Dear Fusion Inventory fellows,
I've been thinking about working on adding power devices knowledge to
inventory systems for years.
Following the last Ubuntu Developer Summit, I know have an "excuse" to do
so:

My below proposition is related to the above blueprint. So please keep in

Changes to upscli_connect
Hello,
I am currently working on the nut scanner. For detecting available upsd
on the network, I rely on upscli_connect. The problem with this function
is that it calls a blocking "connect" function. So the nut-scanner is
blocked while waiting for the TCP timeout when trying to connect to an
IP without upsd available . Since this timeout may be rather long (3
minutes on my host), I

some fixes, improvements, and new features (EPO and DYING) for NUT
Here are a series of my recent changes to NUT.
The first few in the set are primarily little fixes and improvements.
In among those are a few for .gitignore files which of course you can
ignore for SVN, and there's one for a commit to a generated file which
of course should not be tracked in any VCS.
Then there are a couple or three to do with generating the header files

NUT 2.6.3-1 Windows package
Hello all,
There is a new Windows package of NUT.
It now contains nut-scanner binary.
Note that there is a known issue with libupsclient.dll with nut-scanner.
The scan of NUT servers using nut-scanner will not work for now.
You can find it at :
http://www.networkupstools.org/source/2.6/NUT-Installer-2.6.3-1.msi
Please send feedback to the list.
Regards,
Fred

Sorry I ran ?make' command in nut-website/nut... (I still can?t understand why creating man page is so long, it is much more faster on ubuntu.)
When running ?make? in nut-website, same issue then described previously, even with Arno patch

Evidently, even with argument identifiers order matters. That worked
just fine and dandy.
Now I guess I need to play with the order of the nut-scanner arguments
to see if I get a similar result.
thanks,

Windows port
Hi!
I would like to ask about current state of Windows port. Is it frozen? It will be cool to know the plans :)
Where are a lot of Windows-branches at GitHub. What is the most actual one?
The Windows builder looks like turned off, am I right that it is not available currently and where were no builds after version 2.6.5-6?
I couldn't find any info about proper environment to build Windows

RE: [SLE] SuSE 9.3 and Latest Binaries - Library Conflict
Cross-posting scares me, but...
Have you looked at the latest RPMs for SuSE, from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/samba/ ?
They've worked like a charm for me, thus far (revision after revision, a simple rpm -U * seems to work...)

Scheduling 2.6.2 release (was: on Ubuntu Developer Summit (Oneiric), NUT and 2.8.0)
Hey,
I'm scheduling a 2.6.2 release for max. September 15.
The content will be lighter than first expected with 2.8.0 (see below).
This includes the current trunk plus:
- merge the nut-scanner branch,
- some snmp-ups improvements (sysOID matching for init stage) and some more
MIBs,
- a first complete version of the nut-ipmipsu driver,
- the new jNut Java binding,
- preliminary support of

SuSE 9.3 samba binaries FUBAR??
Mates,
I dunno if nobody else is using the samba binaries to put 3.0.20-1 on
SuSE 9.3 -- or -- if I'm just doing something stupid, but there seem to be
library problems. Specifically, we are getting library errors for the *.so.2
libraries, regardless of whether we try via YAST or RPM.
