CD ripper software
I've been having problems with Audiograbber, it got the track breaks all wrong on a couple of CDs. I think it re-used the track breaks from the first CD when reading subsequent CDs. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good CD ripper? I've also tried Exact Audio Copy, but didn't get on with it very well. Phil Hibbs Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Aston, UK

Wanted: Ripper that uses ID3V2 and FLAC
I've been with FLAC since 0.7, and I've loved the FLAC files I've ripped with grip, converted from FLAC 0.8 to 0.9, and played constantly on my desktop. And then I noticed the truncated ID3 tags in my FLAC files. I at first thought the problem lied in FLAC; I posted to this list, hoping for a solution. But then I realized my trusty GRIP was the flawed program. Now re-ripping my

Yes, it looks like the core is all GPL2. But they go on a file-by-file basis. cd archival (revisited/again)
merry christmas everybody. i've recently begun working on a project to load my cds and i must say single file flac-as-a-cd-container with an embedded cuesheet is brilliant. So i figured no problem. rip, single file flac and then its just a matter of playlists and such... a nobrainer... but i keep getting stuck. ok, so what i set out to do is simple. read cds into either pcm or lossless

How to Rip DVD and Convert video on OS X
Now portable devices can be seen everywhere. They don't take so much space and are easy to use. Many people use their devices such as iPod, iPhone, PSP, Mobile Phone, Zune, Creative Zen, iRiver, Sansa, etc. to be served as their DVD Players or Video players. But the first thing kept in mind is that most such devices can not support DVD and some other video formats. But it is not difficult,

Wine 1.2. - dBpoweramp won't recognise cdrom
Hi folks. I am trying to get dBpoweramp 13.5 to work on wine 1.2. It doesn't recognise my cdrom (/dev/sg3). I tried pretty much everything to get it working. I tried it also on different machines. Here is the discussion and a more detailed description what I tried so far at the dBpoweramp forum: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?p=101496#post101496 EAC ( in ASPI mode) is working

There's another nice Windows program in the pipeline: Feurio 2.0 (www.feurio.de) will have OggVorbis and MonkeyAudio support. Feurio is a all-in-one solution for CD ripping/burning specialized on audio CD. Feurio supports high speed, high-quality on-the-fly ripping and encoding, and on-the-fly decoding/burning, too. Feurio supports allmost all available CD writers, and there is a
